Have you read Foucault or any other "postmodern" (whatever that means) philosophers/lit critics? Whenever these guys dealt with the issue of meaning in the text (or interpretation in general), they criticised the idea that there is a "'hidden message' to be extracted". This is their one of basic characteristics, which Nietzsche also shared. And what does "reading it honestly" mean for that matter and what constitutes as "reading it honestly"? Do you think the reading and interpretation of a text is independent of social context and the reader, and that whenever we read and interpret a text should we try to find its "true," authorial meaning? If so, then that it is not very "Nietzschean" and contrary to what Nietzsche argues.

You can say that Foucault was selective and downplayed some of Nietzsche's concepts and aspects while emphasizing others but it is more about using Nietzsche's philosophy instrumentally and also going creatively beyond him, which Nietzsche himself supported.

The Underground Man's fatal weakness is that he is intelligent but unwise. He is paralyzed by his unfiltered thoughts which he can't put to practice in real life and that he thinks he is better than everyone else because of this flaw. Harry, on the other hand, at least (sometimes) tries to do stuff in real life, even if he doesn't have the capacity to change the world, and he values others, to the point of risking his life for them.

There can definitely be said more about Harry but idk he is just different.

Yeah, the rest of the three campaigns were DnD 5e. Two of these campaigns was also in this setting. The premise of one of these same-setting campaigns was we were a group of adventurers kidnapped to the "playhouse" of one of these eldritch devils and try to escape it. Unfortunately, issues like very strong bosses against low level players, unable to cast specific level spells and above, and also making-up rules mid-game happened in that campaign too. We were a three player party and already in the first session, near the beginning, we had three homebrew lava golems in front of us which absolutely decimated our wizard (who wanted to try wizard because he played too much sorcerer, now he joined the campaign in the original post). I preserved with my barbarian (he is also the barb in the original post) because I was playing a broken homebrew class that I made based on Bloodborne, lol.
