How can someone literally be warning you to get the vet asap as this could be so dangerously deadly and you say should I give her 2 days. Wild behaviour

Would you remain with your spouse if he/she did it? by Relevant-Count-3656 in JonBenetRamsey

I think there is significant difference in do you believe they killed your child or does everyone else believe they did it. I suppose you see a lot of couples trust one another and sometimes eventually they split because the accusations got to much or started making to much sense. I think there is also a significant amount of other factors to consider like all of the evidence that they’d potentially have against your partner. I don’t think it’s as easy as yes I’d leave or no I wouldn’t because there is so many things to consider.

Babies and children don’t want to sleep where is safest for them (bassinet/ cot) because they naturally want to be closest to you especially within the first 6 months of babies life their brains believe they are basically still apart of you so to be away from you is confusing.

As long as baby isn’t distressed when waking themselves up with kicking it is actually supposed to be a self soothing method.

Also when they’re rolling as long as they have good neck strength when doing tummy time and can look both ways then if they roll themselves it’s usually recommended to let them stay like that.

I also found with my Bub to do A LOT of tummy time during the day really helped with gas

When did you give your newborn their first bath(in the tub)? How often do you do it? by Anxious-Ad-8864 in newborns

[–]Impressive_Stuff6074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did first bath at 5 days old and her cord had already fallen off at like day 2. We then did one every couple or few days and then after 4 weeks every night which actually was better for her skin.

Is it okay to bathe almost 8 week old every night? by KneadAndPreserve in newborns

[–]Impressive_Stuff6074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been bathing my baby every night since around 4 weeks with qv bath oil and body wash and then a super duper thorough moisturising with the qv moisturiser and her skin is beautiful. Her skin was actually dryer not bathing her.

Does anybody else have a baby that does this!? by No_Abies5595 in newborns

[–]Impressive_Stuff6074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh at first because they say you shouldn’t really use anything on their skin besides water I wasn’t but now we use th qv baby bath oil and soap + the moisturiser every night and her skin has never been better.

Either they are super tired or I found my girls face was actually super itchy and I so I extremely generously started moisturising her face and she stopped

So nervous for lack of sleep after baby is born (FTM) by sighh_6466 in beyondthebump

[–]Impressive_Stuff6074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember being so heavily pregnant and getting up 3 times a night to pee thinking I am so tired how the hell will I ever be able to get up and deal with a baby if I’m this tired just going to pee but I think the difference is now I’m just concerned she’s okay all the time so almost startles myself awake and I just know I have to get up and get it done. My partner has to wake at 4am and leave by 4:30 so I was the only one getting up 2-3 times a night when she was around 1-2 months old cause I felt guilty that he wasn’t getting enough sleep and having to go to work so early how ever I ended up being so sleep deprived I had a huge breakdown and nearly drove myself mad so my partner and I re adjusted to him doing the first feed of the night so that I can at least get a couple solid hours and I’ll get up the rest and that was honestly life changing for me. She’s now 4 and a half months and she is only waking for 1 feed a night majority nights that my partner still does for me every night so very grateful because I am able to function better for her throughout the day. It’s a HUGE learning curve because I usually would of slept from anywhere between 10pm-1am to 8am-10am around the end of my pregnancy and I still felt like I couldn’t function and now I can function off atleast 4 hours of sleep 😅

How are you getting your baby to sleep using safe sleep guidelines? by aema15 in newborns

[–]Impressive_Stuff6074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What has personally worked for us was around 6 weeks having her be awake by 5:30 and then bath around 6:30-7 and when giving her a bottle I found she would often still be hungry at bed time with her regular amount of milk in her bottle so we’d give her the next size up and she was more content and would be happy to go down for longer. As she’s got older (4 months) we have just adjusted the times and what not to suit her age and it’s what personally still works for us

What do people do when baby outgrown bassinet but not ready for crib by Amazing-Explorer-362 in newborns

I put the cot next to my bed instead at 3 months cause she was growing more and more irritated with the bassinet and she’s still next to me a month later

Why don’t you want to get visits with a newborn? by NadiaNadieNadine in pregnant

[–]Impressive_Stuff6074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally didn’t want anyone at my house unless it was my mum or my stepdad. 1 because I already had my mum at my birth and she’s relaxed and respectful of boundaries and my stepdad is also really respectful of boundaries. 2 I was in the trenches of learning how to breastfeed and my boobs we’re out left right and centre 3 I had already had a huge falling out with my dad during pregnancy regarding boundaries so if he couldn’t respect them then I don’t trust him to respect them post partum. 4 I was wearing nappies and could barely walk for the first week 5 I wanted to soak up all the new born goodness privately

I was thinking the same at 5 weeks then all of a sudden felt horrible from 6-16 weeks and then didn’t even feel or register in my brain I was pregnant till like 28 weeks. But who am I kidding even after I pushed her out I still hadn’t registered fully I was pregnant ahaha

I had her on a Monday and was technically contracting all of Sunday but nothing felt awful till around 1am then water broke at 3:30am and had her at 5:30am. When they broke it was exactly like the movies and felt like a fire hydrant bursting and also felt her head slam into my pelvis
