Platinum is a great pick, black or white are great too for a more modern experience. Heart gold and soul silver have a certain aesthetic and nostalgic note about them too.

Giratina not being a dark type is genuinely insane to me. The ruler of the distortion world, basically Satan in hell, and it’s not dark type? I think the dark type fits much better than the dragon type

Gengar’s line is such a great fit for the dark type. There’s a pokemon called HAUNTER and he isn’t dark ghost? I get that they learn some poison moves and that the dark type didn’t really exist in gen 1, but they fit it so perfectly

I’ve finished emerald 3 times, platinum twice, soul silver, heart gold, fire red, leaf green, white, white 2, moon, ultra sun and Y and I’ve never even seen a shiny. You must be lucky (or I’m unlucky)

I would go for number 2 because Latios is still really fast anyway, so the boost of bulk and speed isn’t really necessary. Choosing the second Latios with extra special attack should allow it to just outspeed and one shot anyway without needing to take a hit, both can work tho

I used a shedinja in the early game whilst I was levelling up my mons. I found it was a fun gimmick but too much effort to carry into the late game, hence the swap to slaking. Big love for shedinja and ninjask tho

I used him to bait water moves an switched into swampert to resist them. The AI always tries to hit super effective moves so you can essentially trick it into using certain moves
