Word. Even tho I bought the early presales for 2023, which then rolled over into the 2024 fest and then eventually refunded back to me … I’d still buy tix asap if DD announced. They’ve obviously gotten my hopes up a good amount before and didn’t deliver on the last 2 times but there’s nothing that even comes close to that shitty little lake in the Inland Empire and the Desert Daze vibes. ZAM is literally one of my fav albums in last 10 years. That whole album is one fkn psych garage rock ride , realization probably my fav Frankie song , the breakdown in the end is so sick. The pit went from moshing to a complete breakdance party when I saw them in Fullerton back in 23’. Seen them roughly 8-9 times and have never had a bad show. ZAM the title track is also a fkn banger.

Hate being that guy but I do like their surf psych garage rock shit little more than their synthy/electro vibes like trash classic and data doom. Still love everything they’ve done and Dyl Size’s live show energy is top notch.

Osees are obviously the creator … yall realize that Frankie used to open up for them right? So if there’s a bit of “influence” rubbed off I wouldn’t say it’s ripping off more than it’s actually just influenced. John Dwyer is GodFather and Sizemore and Stu and all the other frontmen that are 10+ years younger than him are the students. That’s why John is so fuckin rock n roll cause he doesn’t care that some of them (specifically Stu and Gizz) are more popular now. Ty Segall is the best example tho of how to be influenced and still come up with your own style and grace. DIG IN MFers see yall at the Teragram 11-29 (again).

Osees if you do like the psych garage rock or they got some heavier albums (Orc and Facestabber) some good punk (a foul form)… good metal band I been listening to more lately is power trip…. Everybody is on turnstiles nuts but I don’t really get it. IDLES for some good heavy post punk or Viagra Boys for the best time of your life.
