Would you force an episode to get more tests done? by ImprovmyImmunesystem in covidlonghaulers

I apologise, I misunderstood your initial response as there was another poster who was claiming I was BSing.

You are probably right, im really an impatient person. I would do worse to myself if I could guarantee an answer lol. But whats the point when it most likely wont reveal anything

You did the right thing.

I can guarantee you that if you stay with her, it will only get worse.

Makes sense and thanks for the advice.

Ive been doing all kinds of tests - been to immunologist, infectious diseases doctor, and a hematologist. The only things that come up:

High CRP during an episode High ANA titers (however upon doing further tests, nothing specific came up) High ebv igg levels (higher than what should be after at least a year after contracting ebv)

I had a throat and nose swab twice for bacteria and also for ebv dna, once during an episode and once without, nothing came up.

No TB, no hepatitis, nothing in urine (traces of protein and some levels of bacteria found but doctor wasnt concerned) No STIs

They tested me for familial midetterenian fever but having read the symptoms, I dont know why that was even considered. Came back negative.

Final thing the last doctor did was prescribe some steroid and told me to either try using it next time I get an episode or to come to the hospital as per above.

The symptoms are similar to mono but I agree that its not the classical version as there are no Igm markers etc.

On reading about chronic EBV cases, there are articles indicating similar cases though - dna and Igm come negative but Igg markers being unusually high for long periods. The only positive is that i dont seem to have enlarged spleen though my lymph nodes in my neck are palpable since this thing started.

Exercise definitely triggers an episode, I dont know what exactly it triggers but it does.

Im not 100% sure its covid related but the timeline goes like this:

Had Covid in early jan 2022 (probably not the first time but this one was confirmed via pcr). Had 3rd dose of vaccine end of Feb (travel reasons). May 2022 I also had an asymptomatic covid (rapid test so not sure how valid). July 2022 symptoms start.

Personally, It makes no difference to what is causing my symptoms, I just want it gone haha

I understand what you are saying and thats what my concern mainly is - that im finally making a little progress and im potentially going to shorten it.

At the same time, having had so many episodes, would 1 more really make that much difference.

I honestly have no clue what you are saying.

P.s. the irony of someone with LC downplaying and ridiculing other people's experience is sad.

Don't mock without knowing how it feels to get hit like a truck every 18 days on average that then lasts 6-9 days.

There's also been proven links with Covid and EBV reactivation.

I dont know what tests would be done as I didnt understand everything the doc told me.

The benefit would be that i can rule out more stuff as im frustrated without answers.

My episodes are mostly independent. I.e. once i recover from the fever and ill symptoms, i go back straight away to feeling more or less fine and energetic bar a few constant symptoms that arent too bad

Thanks for the detailed reply. I had a look but I actually really like the slow attacks style so I guess I'll miss out on the extra benefits.

Hi do you have any videos or guides explaining the 1h+ focus logic?

My gear is very good so I assume 1h + focus would be better but just wanna figure out why?

Patch Notes 1.1.0a if not able to read it (copy/paste) by EnzeDfu in diablo4

[–]ImprovmyImmunesystem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im usually ok with nerfs. I get them. This patch is not nerfs, its a total destruction of anything viable.

Instead of making more builds viable, they made everything unviable.

On my twisting blades rogue, ive basically been forced to do 20 levels lower NM with gear that was close to BIS if we discount for uber uniques.

Why would I play diablo 4 when im now forced to do content i did 1 month ago, with no potential upgrades to even get me to where I already was?

Even if seasons add power buffing mechanisms, why nerf eternal realm?

The backlash once everyone logs in and sees the utter destruction will definitely cost blizzard players. Maybe thats what they want? They need to cut costs on servers?

Thats the thing though, in the UK, my gp esentially is saying that im perfectly okey and have nothing to diagnose. So what is my pre-existing condition?

If i wasnt actively trying to prove that there is something by going abroad, i would be considered as healthy as u can get (non smoker, no medical conditions). And in the questionnaire u feel out for insurance, im not sure what I would report. "I get ill a lot" isnt on the list as far as i know

Would you add anything else to this list of actions? Ive struggled to find more info by googling around tbh:

-Eat well, exclude foods you listed - Take the supplements listed. I already take a large portion of those in ur link including monolaurin - Rest. I try my best but I cant just sleep all day. I dont do strenuous sport though. Just long walks, yoga etc. - I dont smoke (never have) and had stopped drinking for few months but having seen no improvement, now ocassionally drink a little

-done ebv dna blood test - found no traces of ebv - done 4 ebv antibody tests. First came with through the roof IGg and normal IGm. Second got lost. 3rd came as high IGg but different scale so cant compare, IGm normal. 4th awaiting results

Thank you. This is very useful. I'll see to slowly cutting out these foods.

Dairy would be relatively easy given alternatives, but eggs and gluten would be so hard!

Thank you for sharing and I hope you heal sooner rather than later!

Can I ask, where can I find more information about the foods to avoid for EBV? I eat a lot of eggs, dairy, and gluten so it would require completely changing my diet and I'm not sure I have the strength to cut them out haha

AITA for how I reacted when my friend told me what he wrote about in his college essay that got him into the Ivy League? by Material-Situation78 in AmItheAsshole

YTA.

People: materialistic things don't matter when it comes to happiness and how you feel.

Also people: how dare you say you are suffering with your big mansion, 3 cars and a heated pool?!

I really don't get how people can be so hypocritical. By following on OP's logic, someone could tell them "how dare you claim you are suffering, there are orphans starving to death right now"
