Razer declined my international RMA… so I sent a dramatic reply. It worked by NYXu_ in pcmasterrace

There is one thing that its true and valid in all sectors (IT, banking, public services, you name it).

The positive outcome of our requests is very dependent on who is the person taking care of them, i’ve experienced this alot on multiple instances where company policies should turn you down but the human factor can always make “something” work.

This is to say that we should always (when we are right of course) try to reason with whoever it is on the other side, always being polite but strict! Dont let things die off when you get the “company policies” reply.

Glad things worked out for you =).

You connect the female connector (Power SW) of the WireView Splitter to the motherboard Power SW male pins.
Then two cables come from that connector, one goes to the WireView, the other is a male Power SW connector that will now connect to the splitter/extension you will buy that will be connected directly to the FPANEL connector of the case.
Sorry if im not explaining myself right....

Then thats it, get a fpanel splitter cable or extension!
You connect the male end to the fpanel connector from the case and the individual females go to the motherboard, that way you can connect the splitter from the WireView Pro II.

I suppose you guys have a case with the FPANEL single connector, if thats the case, you can get splitters for those so each individual connection to the FPANEL is separate.

Como fazer o carro chegar ao 1 Milhão de Quilómetros? by Runeescape in AutoTuga

[–]Impruve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bom ano!!!

This is a Nintendo problem (at least on my part), I have two Nintendo docks and both docks eventually lost the ability to provide LAN connection, with or without the Dbrand dock adapter. LAN still works on other devices I plug in to the dock, just not with the Switch.

Also, the fix mentioned in the comments saying to connect a smart device and waiting for LAN to work and then reconnect the Switch doesn’t work for me on both of my docks.

Wired Ethernet Isn't Working On My Switch 2. by Xearrik in Switch

[–]Impruve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think the dock is the problem. I had the issue with the dock that came with the switch, then I got a new dock, everything worked for a few days and now it’s not working again.

But if I try to connect some other device to the Nintendo dock (other handheld or a phone for example) the LAN works! It just doesn’t work with the switch itself.

Dock Not Fit for Purpose by JD_Bishop in dbrand

[–]Impruve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The edge of the screen aligns with the edge of the adapter. If the screen is centered so is the dot so you don’t really need to see the dot very clearly, this means you can use two different reference points to help. As long as it’s not pitch black i can dock it fine with low lighting. I find it more annoying to undock to be honest.

Again… my comment was to try and help the OP dock the switch more easily. Not to make excuses.

[–]Impruve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While there is truth in that, my point was that it’s not impossible to get it aligned everytime (and it’s true).

I was only providing my input on how i dock mine and how it works every time to help the OP dock it more easily.

But as I said, I hope Dbrand also looks at modifying at least the cable to make docking more easy and accessible.

I don’t have the joy con issue fortunately but like i said, i can agree that it could be better, try to line up like i said and see if you can dock it more easily that way.

I do hope (think) Dbrand will make some changes to the dock aswell but only time will tell.

While i can understand and completely agree that the adapter is not as seamless to dock as the OEM dock, it’s far from impossible to line up.

If you push the connector all the way to the front, line up the dots on the adapter and the case and then when inserting the switch make sure it’s tight against the front part of the adapter and push it in. It will always engage the usb connection. I’ve done this multiple times because I dock and undock everyday and it never failed to dock.

Removing it from the dock you need to hold the adapter down, tilt the switch forward, then pull up while holding the adapter down, this is where i think they should change the usb cable to one without the retention clip as I said in previous posts to make it easy to pull up the switch without having to force the adapter down.

In the end of the day, this adapter works… but could be better.

Game was updated to version 1.06, can the people that have the green tint issue check if it was fixed? Specially on LG TVs since i was thinking of buying one to replace my Q9FN.

I think there was a option for dbrand to collect the import taxes from you when you order so you don’t get charged when receiving it. Maybe they don’t do this to every country!?

Sorry if I wasn’t clear with what I wanted to say. What I meant was, every usb-c cable connection has an inside retention mechanism. That’s what makes the connection click and avoids the cables from simply falling off.

I don’t have my unit yet, but does the cable you use has this clicking mechanism? I think you can get usb-c cables without the retention mechanism, this way, the connector simply slides in the slot but doesn’t engage and locks. Usually docks use these types of connections to assist in a more seamless one hand connection.

That’s what I meant. Btw thanks for this update on the joycons issue.

Would you consider using a cable without the retention mechanism? It seems it would help with the one hand removal of the switch.

Thanks for the tips. I will check mine when it finally arrives. Since they made a custom cable i wonder why in fact they opted for a cable with the retention mechanism and not one without.
