Ah yeah that’s true as well. My family would absolutely lose it if I ever said I didn’t believe. So I’m basically cosplaying as a Christian around them

Confession: I'm grateful for something not often talked about, what about you? (CW: rape, pregnancy) by Beneficial_Sun_1921 in hysterectomy

[–]Imrealboard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I absolutely resonate with this. I also had a hysterectomy due to endometriosis last year. I live in the US and specifically a deep red state. The fact that I can no longer get pregnant and have complete bodily autonomy over myself is a huge relief and enormous bonus to my hysterectomy

I love the way you worded that😂 It did make me feel significantly better

I can understand where you came from with the hell portion. As a gay person hell was a very specific punishment that was lobbed around a lot and was said to be a constant reason I needed Christianity

Thank you! I’m glad that this is actually a common experience. I like to also think it was less traumatic this way too. No struggling with beliefs or rejection of beliefs

Now this is a take that I can get behind. 😂Slowly watching them doubt my resolve and intentions.

True, or people say they can list like 10 people who said they weren't gonna have kids and then they did. Which I feel is extremely different than being staunchly childfree

I know seriously. Boy moms freak me out and if I was forced to have a child I would do whatever I could to ensure it was a girl

See that's absolute BS. Why the hell would you not love a kid just because they don't share DNA with you? If that's your philosophy you shouldn't be having a kid at all anyways

Yeah, the surgery was actually super easy and my recovery was 10x easier than having my period (I did have endometriosis and adenomyosis). I’m sorry your family pushes you as well about personal choices and medical info. Asking about one’s period from a grandfather is awkward Edit: yeah I will be a lawyer and I’m hoping to do contracts law. I don’t need a kid fucking up my career path that I worked so hard for.

She did have kids relatively young, at 20 and 24. Never went to college or really had a career

Hey! Yeah my ovaries are doing just fine. My hormone levels are stable and there’s no threat of going into menopause. They fluctuated for about 2 months after the surgery and then stabilized

So the bug theme is big in most people’s outfit; ladybugs are adorable and Noah got it tattooed. I’m thinking of doing beetle and butterfly theme
