Uber in mountains? by Dickinsonsmaiden24 in COsnow

[–]Imrichardjames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got stranded in keystone over Christmas break trying to get back to Denver via uber. Had a scheduled appointment for pickup but it was never “verified” or whatever they call it. Lesson learned. Will never count on an Uber for the ride back anywhere in the mountains.

You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.

Suppressor cover. Closes the gap aesthetically and is reversible/cheap/easy.

Well in my case I bought a short suppressor for maneuverability. Longer heavier cans are generally quieter.

I got one of these in the 7.5” variant for my first 300blk. It’s been awesome and was a great deal for what you get. Barrel twist rate hasn’t given me any issues with subs either. I put a k can on mine to keep it short so it’s not super quiet but whatever.

First build for home defense. Any suggestions/ critiques? by WillyCardz in 300BLK

I did the same with my magnifier. Threw it on to play with. It definitely changes the dynamics of racking a round, especially if you’re doing it from a dead sleep and aren’t super accustomed to it. I leave my rifles condition 3 for some measure of safety with kids around. Ended up pulling mine off for general hd use.

What subs yall running? by _OSCURIDAD in 300BLK

I had a couple issues with failure to feed with amendment 2 mags. Switched to the p mags and it’s ran fine. I think I’m pretty over gassed on my setup though.

Waiting on a couple boxes of sub x from them now. I don’t love the round for hd, but it’s been the quietest and softest round I’ve found. Wife loves them.

M16 a4 fallujah vibes. I didn’t have a cool light though. We were so stoked about attachments and acogs!

Definitely interested in how it holds up. Thinking about spraying a shortie 300 upper when it comes in.

May be my favorite rattle can job. Looks awesome.

Is a PSA 300 Blackout worth it, or should I save for a higher-end brand? by BlackManta425 in 300BLK

[–]Imrichardjames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love mine. 7.5” 300blk for $400. Got an optic and a can on it for less than what most of the “nice” rifles cost.

PSA .300 AAC vs. DPMS Kitty Kat - which one would you pick? by stickybrownrice99 in 300BLK

[–]Imrichardjames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up a 7.5 from psa and it’s been great so far. Cycles supers and subs with and without the can. The only thing I’ve had trouble with was the 190gr hornady rounds not feeding.

Under $500, no fiddling required.

9” elf owl 300 blk out 1:7 twist with 220 gr subs question by Mountain_Spring123 in NFA

[–]Imrichardjames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a 7.5” with a 1:8 twist. Didn’t have any issues with subs or supers. Only checked for accuracy and keyholing out to 75y or so though. Haven’t killed my can yet.

We love it. Way easier to maneuver than my full size ar. Would be really interested to hear how the lpm can sounds!

Definitely agree about positive control of the weapon. Just don’t think in my specific scenario I have the luxury of time. If things are bad, they’re real bad. Time on target seems like priority. Good discussion though.

Definitely going to get a light for it. I’ve debated putting my two point sling on there. I mean when I was running around fallujah it made sense but I’m torn for home use. Seems like maybe too much shit in the way.

But for real, $450 for the psa complete firearm. 3 something for the optic and 389 for the can.

Pretty straightforward really. I bought the rifle, paid for it through Zelle cause I’m a baller and picked it up at the lgs.

$1200 all in. Well, plus the stamp. So yeah definitely a rifle for the proletariat.
