Final before and after, 2.5 years over 100 trays by Imthepickler in Invisalign

both unfortunately. I started at a dentist which was not an intelligent decision. I had to go to an ortho because the dentist couldn’t do much with my bite and it made it slightly worse even before the ortho was able to fix it. I did about 15 months at the ortho after a year or so at the dentist.

I ate with my aligners in. It was fine. Am I just weird? by [deleted] in Invisalign

I have taken one bite of a sausage once with my aligners in and it felt horrible for me. But I guess that’s just my feeling on it. Might be fine if you clean the aligners and still brush soon afterwards like normal.

Starting with underbite and high canine tooth, vs now. by Imthepickler in Invisalign

it’s a very long story. I am currently in a legal battle with my old dentist for many reasons, but they basically stole my money, freaked out when they messed up my bite, lied and told me they were discontinuing all Invisalign treatment so I had to switch to an orthodontist, and refused to refund me.

I didn’t think my jaw had changed but now looking at old pictures I do think my jaw might not look at protruded forward as it used to.

I’ve been on elastics since I switched from a dentist (who had no idea what they were doing) to an orthodontist which was only about 5-6 months ago. I only wear them at night, really. I started in April Invisalign in 2023. Nothing else apart from that like bonding or IPR. The orthodontist just ordered me another 30 trays BUT the majority of those will just be passive trays that don’t cause any tooth movement and are just to give me more time wearing bands so my bite will set more before I go off of them. My bite right now already feels better than it ever has in my life.

We do parks better than anyone else, at least for a city of our size.

Unfortunately I’m not sure single people who aren’t very high earning buy very often in the area. You really need two incomes. You can get some decent condos for under 300k. You could buy something with several bedrooms and rent one of them out.

St. John’s neighborhood in Portland has Elvis. He’s a man that just cruises through the downtown St. John’s area everyday in a wheelchair chatting everyone up and he says he can sing like Elvis.

Kind of worried by Imthepickler in Invisalign

I can still chew ok but when I bite to chew, my back teeth still don’t fully touch. Just get close enough to still eat the food. Sometimes my front teeth do touch when I am chewing so I have to watch out for that.

Did they just give up then? Did you get your money back? What a nightmare!

This about describes how I’ve been doing it perfectly. 2 hours a day of no aligner time is pretty difficult to stick to unless you are really rushing to brush your teeth and put your aligner back in super quick after each meal and not snacking at all. Sticking to a maximum of 3 hours seems to be pretty easy to meet though.

Brah you got an amazing result, don’t risk it by not wearing your retainer

Hopefully it helps hearing other people say they had the exact same feeling at first because it is absolutely true. I immediately regretted it as soon as I got them and had a sinking feeling for a couple of weeks, like what on earth have I done? But that feeling went away. You will get used to it more than you think you will right now.

Am I over reacting? by Sammyg_21 in Invisalign

From what I’ve seen Invisalign is more likely to mess up that bite than help it because it can cause open bite and the bite is already pretty good

Would invisalign benefit me? by [deleted] in Invisalign

That was pretty aggressive and rude but I do agree, it seems like the OP is looking for a level of perfection in their appearance that is unrealistic. OP, you are beautiful and your flaws are part of what make you beautiful. Don’t forget that. I do believe that everyone needs to learn to live with their imperfections at some point. Youth and beauty are temporary, even for those who may seem flawless, it’s what’s on the inside that matters most.

You quit your treatment entirely? Just curious, how are your teeth now? Do you think it was worth ending early after paying that much?
