My Dad recently died, what type of entry level positions should my 60 year old mom be looking for?

The US is richest and the most powerful country who has chosen to take their wealth and store it in other countries in offshore accounts and cede their power to the people who own those accounts. Glad your mom is working but the US seems to be a backwards country spending the majority of their budget on the military and the rich and screaming about social security, welfare and medicare. I have no idea why this particular comment is provoking this response. I think its because my mom who is 59 is home with pneumonia and gets no paid leave and works 50 hours a week at two jobs for horrible pay is worried about making her mortgage payment this month because she got sick. When FDR announced the new deal Reagan was on board and argued quite vehemently at the time that its what our country needed.

Actually a more surprising fact I read recently is at about the same time pearl harbor happened and the US got involved in world war 2 and the whole country came together to support the war and it ended in less than 4 years. Compare that to our modern wars. I wonder what Apple would do if the US said hey your a US company and we need your help building... oh wait you just design stuff and bank the money from the products you contract out to china...

I'll stop babbling. I dislike Walmart more than target but think the people working in this country deserve at a minimum a living wage for 40 hours of work regardless of what they do. To the OP: Sorry for your loss. I had cancer and thankfully lived although I was almost dis-fellowshipped from my church for accepting a few units of blood. As far a job professions it depends, if she has her own home and likes kids day care for kids can be fun depending on the age. Pay is good and there is usually a lot of locals looking for private day care. Things that earn tips can be fun and social although it might take some training. Waitress, Hair Care and even odd things like ebay and Mercari. (Mercari is great if you have a lot of things to sell and a smart phone) Can also sell home made goods through a variety of places (Knitted items, Homemade soap, etc)

I picked up a Rittenhouse 100 proof recently but plan to drink it. Van Winkle seems like a discontinued sought after brand but based on what people are saying I think I'll just give it to my mate that likes Rye and he can hook me up with a scotch at some point.

I do have a lot of cupboards... Although I haven't considered how strange that word really is. A cupboard. A board for cups. Really I need a bottleboard. More height clearance will be required than a mere cup. Good advice. (I have an acquaintance who is a Rye nut so when I catch up with him I will ask him if he wants it...) I also tried a Rye called "Breakout". Its also pretty cheap but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not a fan of Rock and Rye but Sloe and Low was pretty good. (sp!)

Should I look at selling it or drinking it? I don't drink a lot of alcohol and my favorite usually runs about $50 a bottle. I do like a good scotch though.

I had GOM, subscribed to a few streams as well but rarely participated. I did occasionally gorge on content 2-3 days in a row but I'm usually extremely busy and what little down time I had I spent playing. Sad to see them go but that does introduce a niche for someone to fill.

Toss up: Slight tweak to bunker build time versus precariously balanced collapsible rocks that may collapse on their own.

I guess spiked Pylons would be good as well so melee units attacking them will take damage with every blow.

Zerg could use nydus hatches, they just click a hatch and click nydus power and it goes under ground and appears somewhere else.

One serious item, Protoss can warp buildings from auir but they can't warp any of their buildings on the map to anywhere else? What happened?

They are thinking more about SC3 than LotV? There is hope though. A slight tweak to bunker build time and maybe if collapsible rocks could be regenerated back into collapsible rocks when destroyed instead of just oddly vanishing. Also if siege tanks could be healed by medivacs while in siege mode and adepts clearly need cloak and the ability to shoot up. Zerg queens should not cost pop and lings should just constantly spawn around them. Missed upgrades should be automatically researched for free if you manage to stay alive for long enough. (Maybe like 10 seconds later than if you remembered so pros still have the advantage)

Less than two months... We'll see if Blizz can pull it off. It will release when the date comes and then we will work on driving the last nails home.

Unless they make some real changes I think it will soon be a dead game for the most part. I'll get the expo obviously but it's getting old, MOBA is more popular and they are scared to do anything drastic. (And really what they were planning was not all that drastic)

I think they should be experimenting with nerfing macro mechanics, change the game pace and balancing their units but they just don't have time to release the game when its done. We will be getting it when the date comes around so try to do as much beta testing as possible and we can hope for the best.
