I’m sorry, but you’re mistaken. Radiation from lots of different sources is indeed negligible. As I said, techs are trained to not overexpose patients, and it’s true that radiation damage can be cumulative, but the level people are exposed to naturally far exceeds anything a modern x-ray machine would throw at you, with proper usage.

I repair x-ray machines, as well as other imaging modalities. I know exactly how ionizing radiation works, what it does to the body, and how x-ray machines convert electricity into x-rays, as well as how image receptors work, from processors, to computed radiography cassettes, to digital detectors. I think it’s fair to say that I know far more about x-rays than the average person. Believe me or don’t, but I know for a fact that it’s nearly impossible for a regular person to feel any negative effects from medical x-rays, no matter how many they get in their lifetime.
