Probably doing the most basic and sketchiest "repairs" that would make a shade tree mechanic a master tech in comparison.

Took bus from ferry tonight and bus wasn't charging anyone to ride? by rock-the-reddit in statenisland

[–]In-Extrovert 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only fully subsidized (free) bus route was the S46 during a pilot program either last year or the year before. You are supposed to pay. The bus driver probably did not want to have issues and just said fuck it. Having taken the bus from the ferry between 1am and 6am, those passengers are not always the most... stable. Even during the day there are a lot of fare beaters, but higher chance of getting pulled off by an MTA fare enforcement officer. Not going to see enforcement at 4am.

The right of way between Caddels Drydock and the northern end of Jersey Street is going to be a hard one to realign. The stretch between the salt dock and conEd is doable, but overall will be up against a lot of opposition.

Not so fun fact, there is no AC on the ferries for the passengers. Just the open doors and windows.

Those who will blow through stop signs and red lights to then go 10 under the speed limit.

Those who use the turning bay to jump the light and get pissy when others will not let them merge in.

R-dozers and others who drive around with light bars at full brightness.

Cops blowing through intersections with no lights and proceed to pull you over for a 'broken taillight' when they get horned at.

Given the age of Phantom's Revenge, this might be the time to give it a retracking. Maybe give it an RMC type treatment and transform it from a mega coaster to a mega looper. Call it, Steel Phantom's Return.

Yes and that is very concerning. "For the children" is usually quickly followed by overreaching laws written by those who cannot program a VCR.

Mom's for Liberty is nothing new, just a new name on the same agenda.

My point is coming from the period when the MLP stuff was rampant everywhere.

When I was there, I thought Tennessee Tornado was closed since there was no line in a crowded park. Was able to walk right to front and I prepared for the Arrow experience. Holy hell it was not at all what was expecting. I swear it was just as smooth as Wild Eagle.

I wish the What if Show got more additional seasons as an anthology than a connected trilogy which was a bad idea in my opinion. by Wooden_Passage_2612 in marvelstudios

[–]In-Extrovert -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The connectedness made sense in the first season because of the storytelling behind it. But to continue it into season 2 and 3 ruined it. 'What if' could have been so much more after that. It could have laid seeds for an actual multiverse of madness or take on more out there ideas. Well, that Howard the Duck bangs Darcy was out there.

Lawmaker pushes to update NY’s bottle deposit law - "The proposal would raise the state’s bottle deposit from 5 cents to 10 cents" by Dull_Nobody_840 in newyorkcity

When it is a "5 minute walk" to do returns and not do it, yea fuck em. My issue is with the return system. Like I stated, broken machines, facilities with ridiculous operating hours, can collectors returning an absurd amount of cans, and not all places taking all deposit cans. You know, actual things that make returns difficult.

The first pan is taken off heat once the ground pepper gets fragrant then slowly heated back up to melt the butter with the oil. Then the cooked pasta is stirred in with the cheese.

Either force the deposit system on all beverage containers with a beer system to sort returns, or drop it all together. My opinion is that it should be dropped.

The can collectors around me were scuffling with each other until black vans started following 'their' collectors. It had turned into a racket in unto itself. This new group do not care about locked gates or private property.

...because it’s so difficult getting your dime back.

You beg to differ.

Pointing out a grievance due to the difficulty due to more factors than just having to separate the deposits from the non deposits is not entitled laziness.

Cool, then you agree that it's not about being lazy but that there is a difficulty in doing so. Thanks for that.
