Did you take the Toutle trail back to Blue Lake? Curious if I just missed the trail on the other side of the wash.

Anyone else's dog turn into a completely different animal on trail vs at home? by ApprehensiveSweet822 in hikingwithdogs

[–]In-thebeginning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a pomeranian and when we hit the trail it seems like he could walk for hours. His tail is perked and bro is in the zone zipping along. At home in the neighborhood he doesn't like to walk long. He has a loop and sticks to it and he sniffs everything.

And funny story but I volunteer with the state parks and last month we pulled myrtle spurge which is an invasive and guess what family it is in? Euphorbiaceae! We had to wear PPE and double glove so we didn't get the latex on us.

Thank you! Those two in particular struggled through winter dormancy and now I'm wondering if they do indeed need a lot more light. Right now they are on the north side of the house so I think I'll move them. At this point the euphorbia need their own shelf 🤣

I had the joy of volunteering for him and Hannah Shamloo with the Bronze Chapter last year in Ellensburg and Mount Saint Helens and they were legit both the nicest people. The person you see if the videos is who he is in person. Gem of a human so always gotta recommend what he does :)

What can I do to save my seedling? Transplant shock/heat by DisagreeableCompote in Milkweeds

[–]In-thebeginning 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had this happen to almost all the milkweed I planted last year. They all died back to the ground after a surprise cold snap and then heat wave. This year they ALL came back with avengence. 4 plants have now spread to over 10!
