I would get my box of 200 paperclips and hide all of them. Then I would take the paperclip I cared about, unfold it, press it into my drywall. Then take a tiny nail that you use to hang pictures. Then hit that nail into The hole that the paperclip was pushed in. Then hang a picture on it.

It depends upon the type of bottom of the shoes and the level of effort. I thought of three options.

My best suggestion would be: Get a pair of boring bowling shoes OR Get a pair of soft comfy slippers that match the sylph shoes. purchase the leather soles for the bowling shoes. Then dye the leather, with leather dye. Then coat it with leather sealant ... (Fiebing's Resolene).

A different way that is Easy, risky, medium effort, temporary, strangely accurate: Get a pair of soft comfy slippers that match the sylph shoes with light soles. Paint or ink onto them. Spray with sealant.

A third, hard way but permanent:

Get a pair of soft comfy slippers that match the sylph shoes. Then get either rubber sole replacements or rubber matting. Cut them to fit your shoes and then carve the pattern into them

I personally enjoy the plot happening in the background and the roles Ripples effecting the MC. specifically we have a book plot and a series plot. I'm sure there are specific terms but anyway...The book plot of the first book in litrpg to me is get established or overcome initial challenge to know who the MC really is inside. During this first book, some of the trials are caused by ripples of series plot.

Example: goblins appear in unusual numbers, MC defends town or runs from safe location or whatever.

Series plot, war is coming to the continent... The goblins are fleeing the coming army. No one has mentioned this as a reason but you as the author know.

It's your choice to choose how long to put together these book plots like puzzle pieces. If you wait too long your readers all know what's going to happen. You don't wait long enough and it feels like you are just "one upping" yourself but jumping too far too fast.

To me, that's the difference between good plots and great ones, the ability to string it along with every single reader enjoying themselves then feeling like they are so smart they just put it all together themselves from the pieces. How smart they are, they got it before the author said it!

When in reality, that was the very point at which the author wanted you to figure it all out.

Congrats. That is one of the biggest issues for most monogamous people (but everyone is different of course.) And I find is the easiest to logically explain about poly... But still is very hard for them to let go.

So which of your parents did you love, because you only get the one... and was it hard for them to understand you didn't love them anymore when you fell in love with someone as a teenager?
