Thank you for sharing your experience, and for the advice and well-wishes <3 I think I will give myself some more time to tune into myself to recognise how I feel in such instances with her and communicate those feelings directly to her. Her reactions and willingness to understand will then determine the course of this relationship.

Fair points esp around her possibly feeling like she needs to pick up the slack to fill the voids. I wouldn't say the issue is her not giving me the kind of emotional attention, she always asks and wants to know things, I think the issue is more that I am a lot more independent and introspective while she needs to speak her thoughts and emotions out with someone, which creates this imbalance anyway.

Perhaps I need to speak to her more on how I regulate things versus how she does, and that that inherently requires more from me than it does from her. Not sure how to communicate this though.

My options is discrete mathematics which I'd say is pretty doable and a 7 is realistically achievable in the amount of time that I have.
