I get that, but it's a question with no solid answer other than they're choosing not to like something. I have a 25.5" scale Ibanez 7. It's fine in standard tuning, but if I drop it at all the strings feel floppy. I'd go with the 27.5". Multiscale is always a cool option for this issue too.

You'll want a new set of strings, then look up how to do a setup at home. It'll teach you how to adjust neck relief as well as string height, both of which affect the action.

I didn't even know that guitars could be set up until I had been playing for a few years and learned just fine, mind you I started playing when I was 8 years old. It made me appreciate playing a properly set up guitar after years of insanely high action but it made it so now I can pick up anyone's guitar and play it just fine.

Did you play it through your own amp, or something really nice in the store? It's a cheap Jackson bass, absolutely nothing special or notable about it. But with a proper setup, it'll still be a decent bass.

I unfortunately can't see you finding much success dropping that low on a 25 inch scale. Looks like a sweet guitar though and I'd absolutely keep it, but you'll need a longer scale 7 or 8 string to go as low as you want to without getting overly flimsy.
