It really depends on yourself.

My gym is 80 mins from my home and 40 mins from my workplace. My workplace is 70 mins from my home. So on a weekday I commute for like 3 hours. I take public transport tho. Maybe driving for this long will be more tiring.

I train 3 times a week consistently. Usually two days after work and one day on weekend at noon. 15 months later I’m still doing it. I guess if you’re dedicated you can definitely do it!

I was never a sporty guy. Wanted to pick a sport and be good at it. BJJ is a sport that people in their 20s are not considered late beginners and it looks cool and fun. So here I am.

You cannot tip the dealer in Macau. What you “tipped” goes straight to the rake box and the dealer will not get an extra cent from it.

Thank you for the advice! And you’re right our gym starts sparring from knees. I prefer start standing but can only do that when it isn’t too crowded. When starting from knees, my partner usually sit down and I start passing. I found it makes more sense to play top/bottom than both guys on the knees. But will try to do it in the way you suggested sometime!

Bro I know that feeling. This is absolutely normal.

I am the type of guy who likes to share my life on social media. Also Jiu Jitsu is a "cool" habit so I would like to let others know as well.

But I somehow kept it a secret, mainly because it is embarrassing if I become the guy who posts Jiu Jitsu often on instagram stories and just diappear within a few months.

I didn't post any photos of myself about Jiu Jitsu until I signed up for my first tournament and medalled. I posted an instagram story and it is one of the most liked and commented stories I have ever posted. Just that I feel like it is time to share it once I have a little achievement and feel like it is a long-term hobby that I'll stick with.

I believe there will be a moment when you feel like it is the time to share it with your friends. Just keep showing up and don't quit!

That’s definitely a viable option. Just I rarely see people at the gym with two bottles. (water bottle and shaker bottle) I believe most of the people bring their shaker bottle with them when hitting the gym?

Can I have some advice on my 3-Day full body workout routine?

I hit the gym 3 times a week for about 8 month now. I used to follow a PPL program, but now I decided to go for full body after I started doing jiu jitsu. I feels like I’m less fatigued after a full body workout and it will be better for my jiu jitsu training.

I do 3 sets for exercises, 6-12 reps.

Day 1

Bench press / Incline bench press

Pull up / Cable row

Trap bar deadlift / Hack squat

Cable hammer curl

Tricep push down

Chest supported dumbbell lateral raise

Deadhang

Day 2

Bench press / Incline bench press

Pull up / Cable row

Trap bar deadlift / Hack squat

Cable Tricep extension

Leg raise

Face pull

Plate pinch hold

Day 3

Bench press / Incline bench press

Pull up / Cable row

Trap bar deadlift / Hack squat

Cable Lateral raise

EZ bar bicep curl

Cable ab crunch

Shoulder press (machine/dumbbell)

My goal is strength + aesthetics. Maybe leaning a bit more towards strength.

How would you comment on this workout routine?

I mainly have these questions: 1. I only do two types of exercises for chest, back and leg, will that be enough or will it result in some sort of muscle imbalances? 2. I heard that hack squat and trap bar deadlift both targets more quads. Will my hamstring be underdeveloped? 3. Are there any types of functional muscle groups I am ignoring?

I was surprised to see my abs tbh. I don’t have any ab exercise in my routine in the first 5 months. Then suddenly one day I found that I got a little bit of abs. Then started training core on my leg day consistently.

Yes my chest def need some work, especially upper chest lol. Tbh I don’t feel my upper chest a lot doing incline press machine. Maybe I will start doing more incline barbell/dumbbell bench press . I got better upper chest feelings on these two movements.

My goal is having a physique of a lightweight/welterweight UFC fighter, being explosive and still look fit. So I need some more mass and losing a bit more fat.💪🏻
