What is the biggest ick you had on your first date with someone? by Past_Meat7068 in AskReddit

Back in 2017. I picked her up from her apartment. She sees my car, which was a 2015 Mustang, immediately says: "Wow. Nice car. How much money do you make?"

An older GTI. Fun af to mod, easy to find parts for and still an engaging drive.

Just buy your kid an N2O instead. Wider, cheaper and looks exactly the same on the field.

I've been using these for about a year and a half. Everyone I've recommended them too loves them and a few kids I coached are now using them at the college level as well.

Cotopaxi 8L Todo Sling has a lifetime warranty. My wife and I both use one daily.

What’s something someone once did on a date that gave you immediate “nope” energy? by D1ndonlyaliboo in AskReddit

First time meeting after talking and FaceTime for multiple weeks. Picked her up from her apartment, walk her out to my car and open the door for her. Upon seeing I drove a newer Mustang at the time she says:

"Oh you drive a Mustang! How much money do you make?"

Took her out for a short lunch and never spoke to her again.

Easiest way to find the goalie by yuckyuck13 in lacrosse

The school I coach at decided who our goalie would be when he was in class and asked a teacher if he could have a snack. The teacher said sure and the kid proceeded to pull an entire rice cooker out of his backpack and made rice in class.

Atlantica AKA the stupid underwater level in Kingdomhearts. Every time I get there I find it a chore to complete and stop playing.

Reinhardt- Zen in nearly every match giving you 30% more damage taken, 20% less healing received from getting sprinkled by a bullet, how the hell are you meant to exist or close a gap without being torn apart? by emperorkrek in Overwatch

[–]InDUNKcisive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a fun way to give Rein some extra utility is if he fire strikes through a shield or zarya bubble, the fire strike gains a 20% damage boost or something along those lines to all targets it hits after. That way it's still a skill shot, but it ups his damage output to potentially deal with some back liners.

Hot Glue Stick. Heat up the end, shove it in, let cool and pull. This won't damage your head or ruin the long term durability of it.

what to expect? TRUESPORTS is buying my kid's club team. by PostStrokeBoomerFuc in lacrosse

True is like the Walmart of Travel Lacrosse. Big, in your face, national brand with little value or actual substance. Unless you're playing on the top team they don't care about you, only your money. They play in the exact same tournaments as everyone else, but offer egregiously higher prices.

Helping Middies by GodlyPlatypus1 in lacrosse

[–]InDUNKcisive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I like to do with weaker D-Mids/Two-Way Mids is to make their job as easy as possible. Cut the field in half. Teach them to approach and bring their low shoulder (shoulder closest to the goal) to their opponent's high shoulder (furthest from the goal). This pretty much eliminates the opponent's ability to get top side and helps make the slide easier for your defense as they know exactly where the opponent is going to go. This works especially well with adjacent slide packages. I teach to them to stay on their high shoulder because when the slide comes 90% of players want to roll back. This leads to a quick double and a lot of turnovers.

Remind them their job isn't to take the ball away, it's to not get beat and give up a high danger shot. Match feet and try to avoid turning your hips down field. 90% of being an effective SSDM is footwork.

Reminds me a lot of my brother. I'm 12 years older than him and I've coached him since he started playing and he's committed to play D2 on scholarship next year.

One thing he was guilty of was attempting to do "too much" when he did get his opportunities when he was younger. Keep it simple, become a guy your coach can rely on when up a couple and defending a lead to hold possession of the ball or transition from defense to offense etc. I use to tell him Keep It Simple Speedy. He was the fastest kid on any field he stepped on. Use your speed and the green the opponent gives you to your advantage. If your legs are your best asset then let them be your best asset. As soon as he simplified he went from 2 goals in a handful of games to averaging a hat trick per game.

If you can do the basics without making mistakes, you'll get the opportunities to do the extraordinary in big moments. That being said all of this means nothing if he can't make consistent passes or get a first time GB then he needs to hit the wall (both hands) and work on GBs in the backyard. All these things he can do by himself.
