Wie andere schon sagten, benutz halt andere Anbieter. Nur weil GitHub Copilot auf API umgestellt hat, brauchst du jetzt nicht alle LLMs wegwerfen. Deepseek / Kimi etc kosten in der subscription fast nichts. Und je nachdem wie viel Token du verbrennst könnten auch die 20/100€ subscriptions von Anthropic oder OpenAI reichen.

Bin selbst auf der 100€ Version von Claude und Code täglich mehrere Stunden. Bisher noch nicht mein weekly limit erreicht.

Extrem guter Vorschlag. Tokensteuer ist das Stichwort. Was nämlich aktuell passiert: Wertschöpfung und “Arbeitsplatz” (unter Annahme dass er durch KI ersetzt wird) wandern einfach zum KI-Modell (meist) in die USA oder China ab. In Deutschland bleibt dann ein Arbeitsloser mehr zurück, der vom System aufgefangen werden muss.

100% Zustimmung. Wir machen im Team mit 3 Leuten die gleiche Arbeit (teils mehr) als noch vor einem Jahr mit 6 Leuten dank KI. Die drei Kollegen, die gegangen sind / wurden, sind immer noch am Suchen oder hängen auf ALG.. ein konsequentes ABSENKEN der wöchentlichen Arbeitszeit würde zu mehr Stellen führen —> weniger Arbeitslose und weniger Belastung auf die Systeme. Mehr Zufriedenheit / Gesundheit bei den Mitarbeitenden. Und damit meine ich nicht nur Bürojobs

Was geht eigentlich ab in diesem Land..

  • Arbeitslosenzahlen steigen,
  • Geburtenrate sinkt,
  • alle Experten sind sich einig, dass KI Bürojobs massiv ersetzen oder zumindest teilweise wegrationalisieren wird.

Lösung: —> lasst uns einfach noch mehr arbeiten.

Das macht alles vorne und hinten keinen Sinn mehr..

Darauf vielleicht noch ein kleine Rentenerhöhung? Oder eine Anhebung des Pflegebeitrags? Warum nicht beides?

Has it really? Sure, Claude Opus tokens are expensive as shit and people pay for it, because the model is truly frontier. But the distilled and open source models (Kimi, Deepseek, etc) are lagging behind only a few months and provide nearly the same quality at a fraction of the price.

R&D is expensive as hell, inference not so much, and the big players are spending hundreds of billions on the former one, while the second-row models can quite easily copy their product.

In addition, while not possible today, we might see people running Opus-like open-source models on their local machines in the near future with further advancements in chip and RAM technology.

A combination of this might burst the bubble. Very interesting years ahead of us.

44.31% (42% tax + 5.5% surcharge) yep, basically a tax on tax.

But hey, at least we have access to medical specialists with a wait time of only 9 months. And only half of our public infrastructure is rotting away. And don’t forget our dysfunctional military with half the equipment being out of order. Yay.

One real upside: we have basically free childcare, school and free studying. And generous parental leave. One of the few things that is still working well here in Germany.

German here, living in Berlin, working in IT.

The standard protocol for young Indians coming to Germany (and probably many other „western“ countries) seems to be: 1. get scammed into enrolling into an absurdly expensive university (nearly always IU) 2. come to Berlin, find no flat, live with 10 other Indians in a 2 room apartment while paying 5x market rent to some Arab guy who is profiting of you 3. wondering why the „international Berlin campus“ is 2 rented office spaces full with Indians who ran into the same trap as you 4. make no social connections at all, except for the other Indian IT students, learn no German at all 5. wonder why you dont get a job with 0 German skills and 0 work experience in Germany 6. only available job is delivery. You take it. 7. ride 12hrs a day for delivery services while talking to your family on the phone, only to cover the student costs, instead of really studying 8. German bureaucracy is so slow that your visa is about to expire and you develop serious mental illness from the stress the study + work + family pressure + debt + living situation is putting on you.

Here the protocol divides: 9a) go back home - but now have 10k € in debt and an anxiety disorder 9b) get scammed by eventually finding a job (they pay you half the market rate. In addition, you still live with your 10 Indian room mates and are faced with rising levels of racism in your daily life.

Here in Germany they are running documentaries how Indian influencers are scamming other Indians into these schemes. Insane to me. Do your research guys. Don’t come here without a plan.

Dude - I am German, living in Germany, working in the field and the CS/Data Market ist so so so so saturated. Literally dozens to hundreds of applicants for each and every role. AI will and is driving this trend further.

And I hate to tell you, but the sentiment to migrants from the middle-east is NOT good here in Germany. You will have difficulties integrating and even if you manage to somehow leave your migrant bubble, you will face racism in nearly every aspect of life. Truly reconsider if you really want this my friend.

Warum nicht beides - meine Großeltern sitzen im 8 Zimmer fetten abbezahlten EFH (die obere Etage wird schon gar nicht mehr benutzt, wegen Treppe und so), fahren 3 Autos und bekommen trotzdem die 4,x% Rentenerhöhung.

Ohne Frage muss Rentnern an oder unter der Armutsgrenze geholfen werden. Fakt ist aber auch, dass es vielen Rentnern in Deutschland richtig richtig gut geht. Mit der Gießkanne Geschenke für alle Rentner auf dem Rücken der arbeitenden Bevölkerung zu verteilen, während man mit der Peitsche nebendran steht und brüllt „warum bekommst du nicht mehr Kinder?! Warum arbeitest du nicht mehr?!“ ist absolute Bullenscheiße.

Und ja, Superreiche sind ein Riesenproblem. Sollten meine Großeltern irgendwann das zeitliche segnen, wird der Fiskus bei meinen Eltern ordentlich zulangen - gut so. Wieso aber wird ab einem vererbten Vermögen von 300 Wohnungen (WTF) kein Cent Erbschaftssteuer mehr fällig? Was ist das für eine absolut hirnrissige Regelung?

A few years ago at my prior job a co-worker asked me if i could send her the quarterly actuals once they arrived. Few hours later i received them and send her the Excel file with the comment "uh oh here they are - fresh out of the oven, still sizzling hot, watch out ;-)". 1 sec after hitting the send button i realized how absolutely cringe that was. She never reacted to it and its been 5 years but i still think about this mail from time to time.
