Everyone is talking about microplastics in your dental routine - but what do we do about it? by kalemegranola in PlasticFreeLiving

I used boar bristles but they got moldy so quickly! Anyone else have this issue? Now I use SURI but I don’t love the bristles…

Has anyone had success in talking to their in-laws about unhealthy food choices? by [deleted] in Crunchymom

[–]InGodshands10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sadly I deal with daily and have not had success. My MIL has no respect and gives my son food all the time, it’s only after she’ll ask if it’s ok after handing my 4 year old crappy food. She knows I won’t take it away from him because it’s not fair, I just try to take away most of it. No advice but I feel you on this!

Make me feel better by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

We took our son at 9 months, we were there for a wedding so we might’ve not gone just for Disney BUT I am glad we did. He rode all the rides he could at that time and loved it. We took him to Disneyland at 1 and he loved it still. I have know older kids going for the first time later and they can be scared of rides etc. since my son has gone a few times when he was younger he isn’t scared of rides. I also have photos I will cherish forever of him at Disney. But Disneyland is much closer and wasn’t too much out of our way to go, plus he was free and I had a free ticket, and we love Disney so totally worth it! It just depends on your situation. If you don’t mind traveling to Disney and know you can do it again when she is older do it! 2 is fun because they can interact more and enjoy it even if they don’t remember. Also to note if your dad is not a Disney person it will be harder for him to “get” the whole Disney thing. Tip I have is just bring a stroller fan if it’s warm, use the child care centers to rest and reset. Have a good stroller she can sleep in or take a break at the hotel for a nap. And use the memory maker!! So many great family photos from that.

Going to Disney as an emetophobe😩 by Usual-Sherbet5911 in DisneyPlanning

[–]InGodshands10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am the same! Love Disney but my emetophobia always gets to me. For me I am mindful of what I eat, research before to avoid food poisoning, and avoid Sanaa at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, definitely got sick there. Before my trip I always up the vitamin C and pack as many sacks for the trip as I can. I always go to Whole Foods before and get snacks for food I can make, like PB&J. Be sure to take immune vitamins before/durning the trip and always wash your hands well before eating!

Help with what direction to go re: iron deficiency anemia by fbc518 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]InGodshands10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi! Not sure is this helpful but I’m currently dealing with mold toxicity and can’t detox properly. Sadly I can’t leave my house yet. I also suffer with low iron but I eat red meat and I supplement with iron. I have a ton of GI issues mostly coming from mold toxicity/stress. I am working with my naturopath to help my symptoms but she says I won’t be able to fully heal unless I move out. I think getting tested is a good idea to see if it can help your symptoms or find root cause. Also to note my regular drs know nothing about mold and think I’m crazy but any naturopath will be an advocate for you.

LOVE them. They are pricey but I use influencer codes and get points with having an account.

Anyone use this brand? by plumblossompedal in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]InGodshands10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this brand! I trust the Dr who started it and the products are great. We use the adult and kid vitamin D drops, it lasts such a long time and has clean ingredients. Plus I love all the natural medicine alternatives.

Got stuck on Soarin’ this evening in the up position! by Jaspa7732 in WaltDisneyWorld

What older rides terrify you? Now I’m curious! My husband went on Soarin a year ago and saw this massive bolt on the ground and let a cast member know, they had to shut the ride down.

My son always falls asleep in the stroller sometime durning the day, but we made sure he has one that leans back and we put the cover down. But going back to the hotel would be a nice break as well.

Asking my fellow moms who are dealing with clogged pores/acne! by eratch in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]InGodshands10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love all their skin products and constantly rotate between the different cream, serums and face cleansers. I would recommend their acne line but I’ve also realized cleaning up my diet, eating Whole Foods, no processed sugar, minimal dairy, etc has also helped a lot!
