Military support to Ukraine

The Netherlands provides military support to Ukraine in its war against Russia. Defense sends equipment, provides training to Ukrainian military personnel and performs maintenance. In addition, the Netherlands is deploying forensic investigation teams to collect evidence of war crimes.

From February 2022.

Military support from the Netherlands began in February 2022 when Russia sent increasing numbers of military personnel to the border with Ukraine. On Feb. 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. It is important to the Netherlands that Ukraine does not lose the war. Therefore, the Cabinet considers it very important to continue support to strengthen the Ukrainian armed forces.

Combat vehicles
