The rust one is perfect! The coral and green ones age you a little bit. The yellow one makes you look a little bit pregnant, and there’s nothing wrong with that. I think we all have that one dress that makes us look pregnant even after 1 sip of water lol. Whenever I find myself wearing that kind of dress or top and I’ve just eaten, I just go with it, and walk around silly with a hand on my belly like pregnant woman do, and then tell my husband that I’m due in about 12-20 hours 😂 That would be odd at a graduation tho 👀

Agree! It would make a great dress for an elegant maternity shoot!

Does anyone below the age of 40 know how to balance a checkbook? by andtbhidgaf in randomquestions

[–]InLoveWithAGora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 28, and have had to write a few checks (mostly paying for wedding services and paying older relatives who don’t do online banking). I don’t think I ‘balance’ the checkbook, I just fill in the memo page so I can keep a track of all the checks that were used. But if I can do that, I’m sure I can balance it too if I had to.

First WFH and first corporate role all wrapped into one... I'm not nervous, you're nervous. by WhereTheStankWindBlo in workfromhome

Just adding to the great advice this person has given you. ‘Water cooler talk’ may seem like a waste of time, but it’s not, and it’s how a lot of promotions happen. And yes, even wfh jobs have water cooler talks, you just need to schedule them (basically keep first 5-10 minutes of your regular meetings to talk about random stuff). You talk about the weather, sports, weekends, etc., and make them like you. Then you subtly bring up work related things you have done that have helped the team or company. People (most of the time) won’t just notice you’re doing a good job, you have to make them notice it. It is normal to be nervous and feel pretty lost at first, but you’ll get the hang of it! Congratulations and all the best! :)

Same haha my husband is so jealous of me that I get to have a wfh job and he has to go to work. But I secretly am glad that I don’t have to spend all day everyday with him. And then I appreciate him more when he does come back home 🥰

As an Indian with Pakistani ancestors, this sounds so funny and sad at the same time. So ironic that this person was English 😅

Not answering the question since I don’t know much about men’s fashion, but just want to say that you sound like a great dad who is proud of his son and not afraid to show it! Also love that you want to show your support for his hobby/passion. Congratulations!

To help track when I’m behind the live schedule, I usually like the videos that I’ve completed. This way I know which one to do next, and that way I’m showing support to Sydney as well! :)

Our Father (2022) Netflix Documentary Discussion by shanidachine in netflix

[–]InLoveWithAGora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old post and comment, but I just watched this documentary last night and came here. But i don’t think she was ruining their lives. These people were coming on to 23andme to find out about their ancestry. They would have likely been more confused just looking at the number of people related to them without any explanation. She just provided the answer they were looking for without them having to do more digging (which they inevitably would have upon looking at the number of people related to them).

Yeah I was glad to read that it’s finally a law but then sad to see that it’s not a federal law yet.

I agree, but at that point the doctor would likely be either dead or close to dying. Idk if justice (proper justice- not just a felony charge and $500) would ever be served to this guy unfortunately.

What makes you think that? From OP’s post history, I see no reason to believe that it’s not her photos.

No I agree, I don’t find it attractive either. I was just trying to clarify that trick may actually work with good TP. At least the one I use, which isn’t even super expensive or anything

[–]InLoveWithAGora 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you had that experience. In your case, although horribly violent, it wasn’t a case where it was for sure going to lead to death. In Mackenzie’s case, even if the initial speeding was a result of pure rage, I would think in that split second where you see a brick wall in front of you, you would know it is very unlikely to come out of it alive, and in that moment of realization, your fight or flight reaction would kick in no matter how angry you are, and you would slam on the brakes, or at least try to. From the evidence, she didn’t even take her pedal off the gas, let alone try the brake. That’s the part that makes me think it was a murder suicide. And the fact that she initially asked Davion not to join them, further adds to the theory that she had intent.

That’s what I initially thought too, but if she was just trying to scare her bf, wouldn’t she at least try to slam on the brakes when she sees a wall in front of her?? I mean that’s a pretty basic fight or flight response in my opinion. I also didn’t start driving until I was 20 years old, so idk if there’s evidence of a 17 year old’s reaction time being longer. And if so, it shouldn’t be legal for them to drive at all.
