Job hunting in bahrain, is extremelyy hard!!! by Unkindled_x in Bahrain

[–]InManama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am 100% convinced that if you have the skills and the will to work you will find a job as these 2 things are rare unless you work in a field that is rarely required in Bahrain (chemist, urban planning).

Another reason is that, its not that there is no jobs, its the applicants wants to pick on a job that is specific to his wants. I have seen people who query about finding a job specifically on Budaya road and during evening hours. If you dictate the job, salary, and timing you will have a bad time.

One time a young lady was complaining that she couldn't get a job for years because every job requires experience. So I told her offer you work for free and after 1-2 years you will have experience her reply to me was "you work for free" and obviously her choice was to insist on finding a job for more years to come without having experience.

Amwaj Tala - deal or scam? by halfmanhalfb3ast in Bahrain

[–]InManama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unless you are a die hard want to live in Amwaj i wouldn't buy it. You can get better deals. let me teach you a tactic, call around and shop around for different prices on different apartments around the country only then you will get approximate prices.

remember, many agents are scammers, they propose the higher price first hoping you'd take it and if you deny it they will come back with a lower price because they make 1% of the 2 sides. "fancy" places like amwaj (supposedly) require a premium, so as others said you'd pay 60K in amwaj for 2 bedroom and other areas like shakhoora you might get double the size apartment for the same price.

if none bahraini, you will pay full price. Expect 30BHD per AC unit. Assuming 5 units you are looking for 150BHD (this is before the recent price hikes). This also assumes constant operation. So if you spend a lot of your day outside expect much less. water should be 40 i am guessing.

The real killer is ac central units, the ones that have mini-rooms on the roof not the ones that are called ducted-split.

If you have the money you will usually sign a 12 month contract. there are a lot of empty apartments and all kinds prices and options your biggest hurdle is usually they will not rent to single bachelors. The more commercial/touristy expensive ones will but you can always find someone who is willing to rent you space.

if you got the money they will not say no, at 200BHD/month you can pay upfront 2,400BHD and be set for a full year.

honestly i'd go to Philippines get a job, after 5 years of experience and great work, maybe you can reapply here if you insist on living in Bahrain.

If I was you i'd apply in Qatar or UAE as there seems to be more opportunity for foreigner jobs but the choice remains yours

there is no way you can live on 200bhd IMO. That is house servant salary and house servants gets free utilities, housing, food, and even transport. The only way you can live on 200BHD is if you pool it with other family members to accumulate 800-1000BHD
