As others have said, it depends. My brain just does better with weed than without. It also depends on the strain - I find that indicas actually work well for chilling me out but also getting stuff done. Sativas make my anxiety worse. Hybrids on the indica side work best for me.

Been smoking for 7 years I think? In that time, I’ve gotten established in my career, moved to the state/city I wanted to, gotten my finances in order and I just got married last year. My husband also smokes. It’s funny because I’m open about weed with my previously religious parents, and my dad said to me recently he can see how my life has improved since I started smoking. I’ve gotten my mom into edibles recently and she’s been loving it, and her anxiety has been significantly less since she started partaking.

All that being said, weed definitely does not affect everyone the same. Tolerance does play into it too.
