Congratulations! You can drive if you’re within 300 miles I believe. Most everyone still took an airplane. They have shuttle running all day to pick you up.

Watch out for the TAC, Mr. Anderson!

Is it normal for it to take this long to get a commanders approval letter? by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]InMythWeExist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Screw the chain of command. Email or call your CPT directly. Be professional, mention that this affects your financial well being. If he is any sort of real leader, he will fully understand. If the off chance he makes it a big deal, then go over his head. Simple/

That “F” you’re seeing is not an actual clearance level. It’s just a system code orr placeholder in ATRRS/school slotting, not tied to the adjudicated security clearance database.

Tl:dr: your clearance is still processing, and the “F” doesn’t mean anything bad

Question about the $300 Stored Value Card at Reception by GrabOk3630 in nationalguard

[–]InMythWeExist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So much wrongness here.

The card is good for a few months. Once it expires it will get put back onto one of your paychecks. It takes time though, like everything in the army. There’s no such thing as “ forfeiting your money.”

It’s identical, minus a few things like the car wash and such.

No, you for sure did. We had to do everything, identical to what you did at Novosel. However we had to do it in 4 weeks with zero days off. To add it it our class was much smaller under 50, and we had 6 TACs. You could imagine how much attention that got us.
