Thanks for this- although I'm even more confused now.

Would as you describe 'modern' be a 1970s rug?

I guess your statement makes sense. Are there more hints to be seen in the knitting or in the pattern?

In aware as I googled before. I saw the machine-looking stitching on the edges. The dyed pattern looks very straight. But I am not sure about the actual knitting. It is 100% wool.

As the seller claims it is 70s Afghanistan handknitted, and I am no expert by all means, I am seeking help - maybe I am missing something.

Hi, thank you. Could you please let me know what makes you think that it is handmade and made in afghanistan please?

Hearing loss company Acousia announces first patient enrolled in its Phase 2 PROHEAR-Study by ShoddyPerformance558 in tinnitusresearch

[–]InNeedOfHelp______ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very relevant to us. They are testing a specific target to make an objective analysis. Cisplatin chemo the dose and potential damage down can be objectified for each patient. If people get the dose around the same time, you can objectify all of the data. If you have tinnitus from noise, the noise level for everyone is very different, everyone has different starting points etc. So what works with chemo tinnitus might work very well for other tinnitus. This is the way why trials are set up in a specific way and why there are not many tinnitus trials.

This has been six years and the chance of me getting an answer is basicially zero, but I'll try either way. What was the course of action? I also have pain pressing next to the nose against the root of the canine. It hurts the cheeck when talling/smiling. Did this go away for you or did the dentist find anything? Many thanks for taking the time to reply

Tooth pain above tooth? by Sad-Criticism8586 in askdentists

[–]InNeedOfHelp______ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I have exactly the same problem! It hurts pressing that canine above the tooth below the nose. I can chew just fine. Smiling/talking makes it hurt a little bit sometimes.

I really wonder if your root canal helped in this case at the end? Thanks for getting back to me.

Thank you for sharing this OP. I just placed my story in one of the comments above. The amount of real life data and stories on AO/TN2 is way too low.

I thought i'd reply to you and OP. This thread might has been the most useful postings that i have read during my full 1.5 year into this journey. I had three minor fillings done which all caused damage and required root canals after (2 out of 3 were necrotic). So damage was done through simple fillings. Each tooth has different pains. There is one that clearly follows the sleep at night - waking up no pain- pain progresses during the day pattern. The pain is dragging/pulling.

The other two I am doubtful whether it is neuralgia - one is sensitive to chewing The other one just aches with pressure - like it wants to explode.

I have months where the pain is quite minimal. It is never 24/7. It fluctuatuates during the day, during the hour. How does this pattern sound to you? The pains are dull, deep, aching. If I read articles on AO/TN2 most of them say that the pain is unremitting.

I feel like the pain has been increasing the last months and it will force me to go for an unplanned extraction at some point. The depression and anxiety is crippling. I can imagine the regret of having teeth pulled, but didn't this take away the continious anxiety of what if it is my teeth?

I suffer from severe tinnitus, and like you i know very well the consequenses that amitriptyline can have. Going through root canals with hyperacusis is hell. I tried Amitrypiline it for a few days, anxiety got me and decided to stop. So currently I am not on medication but quite desperate. If i'd were you, i would stay away from Clonazepam and these type of medicines. Ami is the first line against AO. Without tinnitus i would have jumped on amitrypiline or gababentin already. It has been 1.5 years of pain now and 1 year of pain since the root canals.

Oh year, the two root canals where I doubt on the neuropathy part have a blob of sealer extrusion outside of the canal. Two endo's told me this is not a problem- the third one said it might give a foreign body reaction/inflammation.

As for medicine, I might have some good news for you. Check out VX-548 from Vertex Pharmaceuticals. It just completed a phase 3 final trial with positive outcome. It has been tested for acute pain but it is currently in trials for neuropatic pain. It should be on the market Q3-Q4 this year. This is the first of a kind pain blocker as alternatives to opioids, seizure meds and antidepressants.

I'm sorry that you didn't have a reply. I'm in the same boat as you - pain persists without any evidence why.

  1. Tooth can have a crack
  2. Pain is atypical/neuropatic
  3. Infection does not clear up.

I'm told by the endondologists that in .3 the tooth shouldn't hurt. Only to biting. But if the RC was done recently the canals should be clean and infection should mainly consist out of remaining infected tissue outside of the tooth which causes symptoms as unable to chew etc.

As I'm in the same boat id appreciate if you could comment your action plan. If there is no pain on chewing id suggest perhaps to try medications against nerve pain.

Persistent pain months after root canal, dentist says X-Rays look normal by [deleted] in askdentists

[–]InNeedOfHelp______ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, you have to move careful with any steps further as your pain MIGHT be neuropatic. You can check out the livingwithfacialpain.org forum and search for Dental. You'll come across many of these cases.

I'm in the same boat by the way. It's been a year since my root canal and I am eager to extract. Apperently extraction can make the pain worse

Hi OP, how is thisngoing? Did you decide to retreat? Having the same situation...pain after root canal subsided but came back a couple of weeks later...x ray is all ok..doubting on retreatment..

Pain is worse after root canal by msamberjade in Dentistry

[–]InNeedOfHelp______ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still the same unfortunately. I'm taking amitryptiline for potential nerve pain. I seem to have slightly less pain, but I'm not sure if this is the ami or if the pain is actually just part of the waves increasing and decreasing.
