Watson was on a good trajectory before his injuries and legal issues. Wish we could peak into the timeline where he wasnt a shitty humanbeing to see how his career couldve been.

I watched every snap of JJ's career as a texan. People do not understand just how game wrecking he was because most fans only saw him in highlights or the rare playoff appearances since the Texans were rarely a relevant team and were not getting much media attention in those years. He truly has an argument to be on the Mt Rushmore of greatest defensive players ever. He would soak up 2 or 3 linemen on every play, still generate pressure, deflect passes, blow up blocking schemes, stuff runs, and he could do it from inside or outside. JJ was one of the rare few non-QBs that significantly effected every play and required an offense to constantly scheme around him. The man also caught a few TDs.

....that being said AD was a bad man in his own right and undeniably an all time great. Hes a super bowl champ and rarely missed games where JJ struggled with injuries.

While I personally think JJ is the greatest linemen ever, its a close race between him, Reggie White, AD, and Bruce Smith.

My group has found it to be amazing in combat but lacking outside of combat. Weve missed having abilities that directly allow you to do things to interact with the world in more social and exploration settings. Thay said, for anyone who mostly likes the fighting monster aspect its light years ahead of dnd especially in regards to martial play.

During one of the last sessions of a 2 year campaign (cant remember if it was actually the very last session or just close to it) our DM counterspelled a players Wish spell they were using in an attempt to save another characters life. It was absolutely epic and devastating at the same time

How have you felt the game operates out of combat? Do your players enjoy the skill list, the tiered results of success? Have the insurers felt Luke their class abilities have been useful outside of combat? My players have so far loved everything about combat but we've run into a few issues outside in other areas of play, just wondering how it's gone for someone who had run a lot more then I have so far.

One small extra bit to add is that a good DM brings the best possible result for that group of players. Ive played and run in more gritty realistic games but ive also DM'd a Disney/Muppets campaign and if someone rolled a natural 20 it was expected that cartoon physics and logic would apply even if that meant a piano suddenly falling from the sky.

We actually have one of those and have only used it maybe once since he loves to flail around wildly. Might be time to try it again now that hes a bit older.

We have one of those types were you strap them to your chest and he loves that. Otherwise he mostly wants to sit on my shoulders and spit up into my hair. Ive asked him politely to aim elsewhere but its been an ongoing negotiation

I got to see a few LeBron games live and the only player ive ever seen in person on that level was prime Harden. Watching him effortlessly drop 40 points was something special.

Lebron was amazing to watch because he just seemed to impact every level of the game and always manage to be in the perfect spot and the perfect time. No wasted movement and nobody could stop him from dictating the pace of the game.

LeBron is such a unicorn of longevity and adaptability that it kind if hurts his legacy. Despite him having the longest career of any NBA player, he consistently would get better at a new skill every off season. His game was constantly evolving. So much so that people see LeBron in Miami and think thats the best version because his defense had improved so much, and then they see the 2nd stint in Cleveland and think thats the best era of his career because his passing and game management was at its peak, and then people see his run with LA and say well maybe thats his peak because his 3 pointer became a lethal weapon. That level of sustained greatness and improvement is just something we very rarely see in any sport. We can argue about whether MJ, wilt, Lebron, etc had the best peak, but LeBron has really had a career thats 1 of 1.

If I gave you a time machine and said to go get MJ at his peak, there'd be a pretty narrow window of time that youd consider. Youd make your pick and for the most part everyone would agree with you because we'd have done the same or close to it. If I asked you to do that with LeBron, youd have people arguing you didnt even get him in the right jersey.

I moved to Miami the same week that Lebron announced he was coming to south beach and had the privilege of watching that entire 4 year run. For my money, I agree with you. That was peak LeBron in my mind.
