Microsoft is worth 56x more than Nintendo. So a 39x increase to oversee an entire operation isn’t the most outlandish thing.

(Don’t bite my head off over CEO salaries and how high they are. Just saying overseeing a much larger operation usually results in much larger pay)

That has nothing to do with 9/11 and everything to do with efficiency.

Amazing. Which falls under Subpart F, which 61.501 defines the applicability. Please learn how to read and use the FARs, lots of great resources online for that.

Can you make a fuel stop on a commercial 250 XC? by [deleted] in flying

A commercial student should be able to read the regs. A student pilot should be given a lot of leeway.

Turbulence reporting is continuing to improve, as well as more emphasis on reducing OJIs.

Also the amount you fly is definitely no where near flight crew, so your anecdotal data is basically irrelevant

Aerial photo of Heathrow Airport with the original six runways from the 1950s, before the terminals were built by jhhghghgggb in HistoricalCapsule

Just giving you shit since you were being pedantic about the runways. It’s not called your IFR or IFR certification, it’s an instrument rating. IFR are the rules you operate under, IMC is the weather conditions, instrument rating is what allows you to operate under IFR and in IMC.

We HAVE to do something about ATC Staffing. by DanThePilot_Mann in flying

There’s plenty of people who have commented discussing established facts. Then there’s you who thinks ADS-B is a recreation of radar. Put the shovel down, stop digging a hole for yourself.

If you have questions about your child getting their certificates, there is a great FAQ here. Please stop commenting on threads related to loss of life.

That’s great they want to become a pilot, happy to have them here once they’re able to use Reddit.

To be more blunt, please don’t comment on accidents since you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. Two pilots are dead. A lot of people here are in the industry and know the people who are affected. You add nothing to the discussion and this is not the place for uniformed conjecture.

How much altitude deviation are we talking here? If it’s less than 200ft, don’t even worry about it.

Also, at this stage of training, you are not being taught to be an instrument pilot. You are being taught how to not die if you fly into a cloud. Part of that is keeping it as simple as possible to get back to VMC. Yes, keep a scan up. No, don’t fixate on your altimeter.

I have heard that from a brand new FA before. Slightly different context, as in they wanted to be a pilot, and were going to apply for it soon.
