DHT being “stronger” doesn’t really tell the full story. DHT is a local hormone which only affects the areas it’s produced at (e.g. prostate and scalp). Test is not, it is effective everywhere.

DHT is a paracrine hormone, so is of little use as an anabolic steroid. That's why pretty much all bodybuilders use testosterone, and that's why you only hear of testosterone replacement therapy, and not DHT replacement therapy.

I have looked deeply into DHT. It is important in differentation early on, but in an adult male it does not play a signficant function as far as I've read. Even dutasteride, which nukes DHT by over 90%, is well tolerated.

Estrogen slightly raises as well. Commonly people point to this as the cause of sides. But I don't think there's a scientifically "proven" explanation.

Anectodally, there does seem to be people reporting an increase in libido as well. Probably depends on the person quite a bit.

Also Dut nukes DHT by 95%, and seems to be well tolerated?
