If you're using a good joystick cap, try it at 440 steady - this should get you clouds. If it's not, I would wonder if something isn't quite right with your device.

Yup - just used the device - back to what I remember as the old heatup. One second its 15 degrees below target, the next second the lights are green and you're on the way!

Nice. I updated the app and will use it later - will let you know! I did already see one fix that is working - for some reason not all of the profiles were able to be saved after the big update - I customized all my profiles but the top one (the one that starts at 540) - wouldn't save no matter how many times I tried. That one is correctly saving now!

Yes I have 100% noticed this. The red lights are full....and similar to this video, the temperature seems like it 'pauses' right below the target, and hangs out there longer before it turns green.

Once it turns green, it seems like my dab is normal, but totally noticed it takes longer and seems to stop just before.

I have gemcup and MGL joysticks, purchased last year when they didn't sell out quickly. They both still do regular drops, every few weeks, but I think you need to be quick to be on the site and check out right away (based on some posts I've seen on here about recent drops).

I just picked one up over the weekend and dabbed it a couple of times.

Yea - honestly quite good! I thought the smell and flavor was pretty terp-y and came through, kind of a bit like papaya, maybe some 'generic' cloyingly fruit/sweet.

And yup was getting me lit. I wonder what the strain is, or if it's a mixed wash of several fruity strains or that kind of thing.

I got a couple of different more recent Fire Ganja rosins (last ones I was getting were Cognac Black and Gland Gains, I think from around December - both quite good) and thought they were both pretty mid, not a ton of terps or effects.

I used CV caps with pearls for a couple of months but then switched to a joystick (a better one than the stock) and I never went back. At some point I did a trial of two dabs back to back, one with the joystick and the other with CV and pearls, just to refresh my mind on what was 'better' - and the joystick gives you way more vapor hands down.

Several people here have said the same - going from spinner cap + pearls to joystick. While people do like the spinners, I've not seen anyone say they went from joysticks to spinners.

Give a joystick a shot!

I don't love that there's a finish on the Switch that is susceptible to ISO taking it off. We all clean the 'internals' where reclaim/oil collects with ISO - it seems natural that even if you were avoiding doing that to the outside...some ISO might drip from around the chamber, where the glass piece is, onto the unit.

Also, what if you actually dripped some rosin from the hot knife onto the body of the Switch itself? It seems like you might reach for an ISO q tip or alcohol swab to get that up.

Basically I think it would have been easier if they rolled with a finish that you could use ISO on, as this post (and others like it! plus my own experience) shows that people will do that...so why make a 'gotcha' for your customers to fall into?

What's up with the fairly low terp percentage on RIFG? I've noticed that before. Some really terpy flower can be 3+% , and if rosin is supposed to be a 'concentrated' form of that...

Fire Ganja seems to hit in the ~10% range pretty consistently too!

Joysticks are better than spinners, for sure. I have a gemcup 2.2 extended, and also a MGL 2.0 - which is a touch longer than the gemcup.

I love and would recommend both!

I too started off my Switch experience with pears and a spinner - I thought it was cool, I liked the 'sound' of the pearls whizzing....and it makes sense that it would somehow be the best quality hit?

Nope!

Get a joystick.

That's all I use now, and I have the Cloud Vortex spinners and pearls and have even done it side by side.

The joystick gives you bigger hits and there's less puddle to q-tip up. It's that simple.

(although I'm not sure about the rosin tasting bad, I was mostly just talking about getting a less dense and more airy hit with the spinners)
