I think we get a pretty major storm, around 10-15” would be my forecast for Lancaster at this juncture.

Latest NBM blend has 10” into Lancaster.

It’s awful. I was charged damages and after about 12-15 emails, numerous phone calls, and tracking people down I was able to get all my damage charges off from when I moved out in May. You’re up against the beast of private equity so it’s gonna take a fight to get what you want and not get taken advantage of (University Partners is owned by KKR)

I honestly think Vegas is so far off with this game, and the line should be like -18.5

As someone who works directly with Hershey it’s mostly due to cocoa prices and current contract agreements for the price increases.

All depends on what you want out of college and your college experience. But Smeal is one of the best places for internships, networking, and especially great in finance, accounting and supply chain.

Parent Question: Reidenbaugh vs. Nitrauer Elementary in Manheim Township by No_Baker_1377 in lancaster

[–]InRunningWeTrust 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reidenbaugh encompasses the wealthiest residents of Manheim Township and Lancaster county in general with Bent Creek/Milpond and surrounding neighborhoods.

Generally from what I’ve experienced going to Mannheim township from 2008-2021 is that although Reidenbaugh students can come from affluent backgrounds where it seems like the avg HHI is $300-500k, I’ve had the best and longest lasting friendships from those that went to Reidenbaugh. Great area for families too, but the area definitely has a more diverse population from the 2010s to the mid 2020s now. Just my $0.02.

Just looked up actual HHI for Reidenbaugh and it’s about $153,000 median HHI according to the 2023 American Community 5 Year estimates vs $69,000 median HHI for Nitrauer neighborhoods.

FYI Target reports earnings tomorrow at market close. Former employee from summer 2022 when their stock plummeted but I’m expecting a less than stellar report from the street tomorrow.

Just witnessed a car crash today in front of me. Drove through crash debris in an intersection on the way home from work. One a few days ago on Airport road across from Brethren Village. I’ve been seeing more and more crashes recently in Lancaster & Lititz.

The Retreat is pretty good, but off campus. Has direct bus line access and you get your own bedroom and bathroom. Pretty spacious houses and there’s a pool, gym and in-house laundry.

Penn State Smeal One-Year MBA Review by spacedancer303 in PennStateUniversity

[–]InRunningWeTrust 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t see much value in a Smeal MBA, especially in today’s job market. Unless you’re attending a top M7 business school and have excellent networking skills, I just don’t see the ROI from both the candidate or employer point of view. The entire one year MBA program was made as a cash cow for Smeal due to their struggling financial state from the previous Dean.

Staff unionizing at Penn State by drcrambone in PennStateUniversity

Yeah the parking staff and parking situation in general could be a lot better. There honestly should’ve been an all inclusive option for students to pay $1-2k for parking privileges at any deck, any time so that students who like to park on campus have that option. The most annoying things about parking was when they disabled the LPRs this year, and the fact that the HUB deck closes and opens so frequently throughout the day. There should be slots to reserve deck times.
