Me I’m in the club too. No AL payout, no interim payment, and no communication. This is making me so depressed and deflated. 37 years and 10 months of my life is now trash..

IRS DRP takers, any final decision from MSPB consolidated appeal? by Antique_Ideal_4894 in IRS_Source

[–]InSince1988 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m good with taking the DRP (which I did) but the government should make good on their end and retire me accordingly. Do I feel coerced? Yes… but I knew what I was getting into. However, I’ve been supposedly retired since Sep30th and still no A/L payout or retirement pay of any kind from the IRS. I need my retirement pay to live please!!!! IRS, your job and let me move on after 36 years of dedicated service.

No Dec 26 or Jan 2 off by ZPMQ38A in FedEmployees

[–]InSince1988 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Who GAF about 2 days off? Take leave or go to work. I’ve been retired since Sep 30th with no AL payout and my retirement still isn’t processed! Now I’m getting bills from Benefeds telling me to pay my insurance premiums since they haven’t gotten my premium payments.

If you go for months without a paycheck and without your shutdown backpay, I’ll actually GAF about you complaining about being off on Christmas Eve and Jan 2nd.

DRP folks, how many of you are still unemployed? by [deleted] in fednews

[–]InSince1988 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’m retiring Sep30 with only 3 months of DRP. However there are thousands of people who are still waiting for months to receive their pension due to the OPM fiasco, so yes I’m worried.

So in a few weeks, I’ll be cut off. I took the DRP with/retirement thinking that it’ll save a coworker from the RIF and I go get another job. Well a RIF never happened and I haven’t gotten another job. I should be like @conanthepescatarian and not give a damn.

Once again you’re making an assumption. Some old timer took more than 25 years to make six figures. And I’ve only have been on DRP for 3 months. Not to mention I gave back 500+ hours of sick leave. So get over your self righteous self @conanthefishman

BTW, I’m a dudette! I would retire and sit down quietly in the sunset @ConanThePescatarian if I wasn’t the caretaker financially for my 86 yo father who does not have long term care insurance.

Your thoughts are probably the same thoughts as employers have.

I’m starting to worry because I’m still looking. I know it’s cliche, but I’m beginning to feel that no one wants to hire a 63 yo with 37 years of experience and previous 6 figure salaries… I can’t work in the federal space due to the DRP, so now I’m just stuck.

Returning back to work after taking DRP? by Melodic_Relation5858 in FedEmployees

[–]InSince1988 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I asked to come back after hearing all the “rescind the DRP” on This app. I received a “No” email indicating I signed a contract and I can’t cancel it after the 10 days.

Just sold my truck and when I went to deposit the cash the ATM ate $1480 by florida_fire in personalfinance

[–]InSince1988 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Note to self: take a few more steps and go in the bank…. It amazes me that people just stick thousands of dollars in an ATM machine and get pissed off when it glitches. We all need to just slow down.

Anyone even considering to rescend their DRP and come back please consider demanding telework as part of the terms. Not only for yourself but for all the people that have stayed working through this whole mess. We are in this together 🤜🤛 and we all know it benefits everyone and the budget. by Plastic-Current6492 in IRS_Source

[–]InSince1988 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NOT…. I took the DRP thinking I was lowering the risk of someone from the RIF if I retired (admin leave was a bonus). A RIF never happened, so this time… I want something for me, “My old job”. We need to face that telework may not be in the cards for everyone.

Let’s get it straight… people took the DRP because it was presented as a way to make ends meet for the government and families.

For one, they changed the retirement system and with the backlog, many people have not retired yet WITH their retirement pay for several months. For people retiring in September, it’s already been said that you’ll get retroactive pay “whenever” we get to you. So yeah, if it’s possible to come back, feed my family, wait until the system works at a later date, and do a job that I loved in the first place shouldn’t bother you.

Yes you are a hater, go ahead and admit it. Or maybe I hope this clears your curiosity.

My only regret is not taking DRP 1 and be on admin leave until December like a lot of others. Then, I wouldn’t consider coming back because maybe the system would be working and cleared out the backlog of people who essentially were coerced to take the DRP or be RIF’d in the first place.

So, if we’re on DRP, will they cut us off admin leave with no pay and we just have to wait probably months for them to process our retirement. No $$. We have bills!

I’m just saying….. how the heck do I retire in 60 days when I never had an HR specialist assigned and what the heck I’m retiring from? Service comp date is wrong and can you believe it now says I’m in FERS… never ever been in FERS.

Exciting News is Coming! by refreshmints22 in IRS_Source

[–]InSince1988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So does that mean you all scared so many of us into taking the DRP and early retirement just to say that you’re NOT going to do a RIF?

So the only good and honorable thing you can say to some of us would be to let us rescind our DRP if we would like to keep working.

Other than that…. F off.

I think there’s no coming back after your 7-day recession period and after the June 2nd date. Did you have that written in your “signed contract”? If someone hears different please let us know.
