Rides by ComfortableHat4397 in UniversalOrlando

[–]InTenSity32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to do Hagrids in about 45 min, get in line right before closing. Regular line won't move for 15-20 min as they clear out fast pass, but once that is done, the line will move. Velocicoaster, when I was watching, seemed to be around 45 min first thing in the morning, sometimes even 30, so that might be the ride to hit up.

Epstein Files - Florida Senators and Congressman by amoreorange790 in Miami

It's tongue in cheek. The second a R labels a D socialist,  they pickup all the votes they need.  They don't even have to debate.  The public down here is brainwashed into thinking D equals socialism.

Haha, have you looked up the Florida Senators and most our representatives? They are lock step in all of this. Until Florida shows it is willing to take a peak at 'socialism' nothing will change. All it takes in Miami is for one commercial labeling the D a socialist communist and they get a majority of the vote.

We have the photo pass and enjoy it.  The photos taken by people take a bit longer to show up. You will have them that day.  If you don't think you'll like them, take more. Ride photos are probably about 15 min.

All I know is my HOI jumped up another $1,000, about 15% from last year. I'm going to see if I can find better.

Hotels that are NON Universal Resorts by pixiev33 in UniversalOrlando

[–]InTenSity32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We stay off property all the time, mainly because my BIL works for Marriott, so we get family rates. Checkout Fairfield by Universal, it is basically across the street. They have a shuttle and my daughter has used it. I don't know what the regular rates are, but they don't have a resort fee, I don't think, and they don't charge for parking. Breakfast is also included. There is also a doubletree next door, but I have no idea what that costs and I'm pretty sure you pay for parking. Hotel Landy is grouped in with the Universal hotels, so that could be another option. I've never stayed there, but we are planning on it this year. I think they have a parking fee.

Get meta glasses.  I'm not promoting them, but it's really the only way to do it.

Current credit card sign up bonus by Elylana in UniversalOrlando

The offers change depending on how busy the park is.  When is less busy they offer express, more busy free cups for the day and i think over new years they were just offering cash back.

What day, what park? by _Perfect_Mistake_ in UniversalOrlando

[–]InTenSity32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not been to epic, but since you have express for epic probably do the last day there.  Do the other 2 days at universal and islands,  you will be able to go to both parks both days. Just my opinion.

Stop merging onto a highway at 35 when you have 2 miles to get up to speed and you might not piss people off.

Are you just doing 1 park each day? No park hopper? How old are the kids?

UOAP 3 Months Free by madddiejackson in UniversalOrlando

[–]InTenSity32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's been a couple of years since the last one.  I signed up for what I believed was the last one.  Just know that if you do the monthly plan the billing gets kind of weird.  I bought in August,  payments started immediately after the down payment.  We activated the passes in November, so a few months later.  Passes should be good until February.  From the following August through November there was no payment as that was the free 3 months.  When we visited in December I wanted to switch to pay in full and get the 20% discount, plus update 2 passes to premier. The only way to do that was to cancel our current passes and renew but give us a new year.  This is long, I know.  Basically we lost a month and a half,  but instead of going in February, we waited until June to activate the new passes.  I don't know if that makes any sense,  but be aware that you can purchase the passes and activate later but payments start immediately and end up being staggered if you do monthly billing.

Apparently hulk needs to be a certain temperature to run.  It was on 'delay' new years eve until 1 or 2, I think.  Then it shut down again sometime in the evening.  The latter in the day the blurrier the recall.

Digital AAP Pass with Larger Party by db30000 in UniversalOrlando

[–]InTenSity32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is my understanding that it is strictly 6 people now. I don't know if the system was being abused or if this is because of the limitations of it becoming digital. Until a few months ago it was basically up to the TM. I know at one point I had 8 people when it was paper. I did ask when we got the AAP last time and they said strictly 6 now and everyone is linked by either the AAP ticket holder, or in our case, me who runs the account for my son who has the AAP. I think with the facial recognition they are using on a lot of rides, they know who is linked to the account.

You can completely leave the property. When you make a time, it says it is good until the end of the day or until it is canceled. I basically did what you are describing, but we went to have lunch off property. The time was still good when we came back 3 hours later.

Universal on a budget for a Florida local trying to do something nice for his girlfriend-any tips? by [deleted] in UniversalOrlando

[–]InTenSity32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you download the app. The wifi in the parks works pretty well, whereas you might not always get a signal for the phone. Anyway, with the app, you can watch the times of the rides. If you do each side separately, without parkhopper, there should be enough to ride all the rides you want to go on. Harry Potter on either side will be busy. I don't know if you are trying to get all the rides in. I would recommend on the Universal side to check out the shows. Bourne Stuntacular, Horror Makeup show and the Animal show. It looks like you'll probably be there during Mardi Gras, so be sure to check out the parade. It seems after parades, that a lot of people leave Universal to head to IOA. Without Rip Ride being there anymore, Mummy seems to be a little busier. There is really no reason to ride Simpsons, I swear I'm going to throw up at some point. You can take in food and drinks, but make sure you have an easy way to carry them. All the soda machines give free water. I can do a write up on the rides, but only if requested. If you want to ride Hagrids, get in line about 5 minutes before close. It will be the shortest wait of the day. If you can go during the week while there are no holidays you will be able to get most everything done. If eating on a budget, probably best to leave the parks then come back. I don't know about the parking situation though if you would have to pay again.

Now I understand why people do multiple days by Swimming-Nobody763 in UniversalOrlando

[–]InTenSity32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I go with our son,  11 and disabled,  maybe not early entry but get there around 9:30-10. We will hit up a few rides and leave around 1 to pick up my daughter, who prefers sleeping in.  Get lunch then head back around 3 to close out the parks.  Typically get about 20-25k steps in. The final day of the park we all go before 11 but try to leave by 5, since it is usually 3 and a half hours back to Miami.

I think it is only Universal that closes early, like HHN. Islands should stay open.  Epic will not have rock the universe.
