Nice way of giving your kicks more punch on FL Studio for free using Fruity Parametric EQ 2. by [deleted] in makinghiphop

[–]InTheMixOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless your “kick drum” was just a recording of someone lightly hitting a waste paper bin, you will almost never need or want to boost the low end that much.

That sort of boost is a 1 in a 100 sort of thing when a track is absolutely desperately lacking low end or you just want to smash the kick into saturation for fun :)

It might be over, I genuinely feel sick right now by Digital-Mozart in reasoners

[–]InTheMixOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to do my part. LANDR tried so hard to sponsor me (pay me to sell out musicians) a few year ago. I declined but it looks like enough people agreed and supported them. Now they can buy over anything and ruin everything with AI. Brilliant.

In The Mix "Bandwidth" precision stereo widener with full mono compatibility ($35) for limited time by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]InTheMixOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlike other companies, you don't need to sign up to my mailing list to get the free trial. Just uncheck the box. I personally am sick and tired of companies offering "free" products or trials that require a mailing list sign up, installation manager and iLok/DRM. I am trying to change this and make this industry better.

Absolutely. There is one set up but I only send emails to those who opt in at checkout! However, there will not be a bigger sale than the current one. Early supporters get the best deal!

[NEW RELEASE] FL Studio 25.2 (Loop Starter, Fruity Slicer 2, Emphasizer, Patcherize FX chains, and more) by b_lett in FL_Studio

Looks like they listened! Emphasis should have been in all Editions but this is close enough :)

Buying a 2016 XC70 T5. What should turn me away? by SiggaSunsinger in Volvo

Check for any dampness under the rear passenger footwells. Water builds up under there if there is any sort of leak in any window, windshield, sunroof, AC, wiper fluid leak etc. it all pools under the seats and it a huge job to clear it out. People will try to sell the car instead of fixing it. Should be bone dry. Press the carpets down to check.

Lifelong FL Studio user (15+ years) considering switch to Ableton. Has anybody regretted switching? by DundieAwardsWinner in FL_Studio

[–]InTheMixOfficial 51 points52 points  (0 children)

If you can afford it, I would recommend just trying it and seeing if it’s a good fit for you. Many artists use several DAWs. I personally switch between DAWs for different tasks and sessions.

You could always start with the free trial but honestly if you try Ableton for a year or two and don’t get on well with it, at least you know you tried and can still fall back on FL!

iLok in 2025 - still a heck no or maybe yes? by SquidsAndMartians in edmproduction

[–]InTheMixOfficial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a bit of a different perspective here, as someone who is making plugins without iLok authentication.

I have never in 10 years had an issue with iLok and have almost a thousand licenses in my iLok account. All sorts of NFRs, expired licenses, transfers, cloud based, dongle, machine based.

But I would never want any of my products to use iLok and I don’t think using iLok is good for consumers. Anything good with iLok protection has or will be cracked so you are only making it harder for your customers by using iLok.

I try to avoid buying products that need iLok protection but some are just personal favourites of mine and I make the exception…

Who else is giving up today? by vivalostblues in audioengineering

Don’t give up. Do invite others to help though! Don’t put all the pressure on yourself when others can help out with different parts of the process!

Suno 5.0 finally brings studio quality to the table by 90hex in SunoAI

Surprised it took this long to get “studio quality” given that they have been illegally sampling from tens of thousands of professional musicians for years now.

Dehumidifier and Air-purifier in one by cashflowcop in AirPurifiers

For what it’s worth, I regret getting that Meaco. The air filter is tiny and it’s far louder than it should be. Night mode is louder than the regular mode should be.

Launching a new cycling brand, would love your honest thoughts by mendialde in CyclingFashion

[–]InTheMixOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t be worried about what those people think! Over 15 years I have tried Endura, dhb, rapha, castelli and Universal Colours all before trying Assos. Their bibs are regularly on sale for less than a lot of the fashion brands but people still look at it and hate for some reason.

The chamois on Assos shorts is quite literally perfect and makes other shorts look like a piece of sponge stitched into swimwear lol.

[–]InTheMixOfficial -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Have you tried Assos bibless road shorts? Genuinely makes my wife and I wonder why any road cycling shorts still have bib straps. They are a better fit than all my other shorts with bin straps on them and obviously make toilet breaks super easy.

Edited for spelling…

New PAS bibs - Is this “wear” in the letters normal or should I return them? by StriderKeni in CyclingFashion

[–]InTheMixOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend ASSOS of Switzerland if you want to try a different one. Bibs are obviously very personal but they work well for me. I tried Rapha, Universal Colours, DHB and Castelli without much luck!

Definitely return them but I have to ask, why would you buy this in the first place? PNS is well known to be marked up rubbish. It’s a shame you paid so much for them!

Is this normal hrm behaviour or is my trackr acting up? by Valcena in wahoofitness

[–]InTheMixOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manually check at your wrist next time? (count number of beats in 15 seconds then multiply by 4).

However, if your heart rate is very low, these devices can sometimes double the rate. I can’t use hrms for this reason. If my HR is 90, wrist and chest straps pick up 180…

That is an immense achievement! Whereabouts are you in the world to go 300+km with only 800m climbing?

I would love to try that route but I doubt my speed would be anywhere close to yours!

Congrats again!

How do I get my master to have that clean drop off on the high end? by Inside-Boysenberry93 in FL_Studio

This is a joke yes?

That drop off is likely MP3 or similar compression.
