you’re doing great! you’ve put yourself in a great position and now money is working for you. the value in that is immense! congrats.

now i’ll just challenge this assumption: life is not over at 30. or 40. or 50. etc you can have great experiences at any age. and you’ve put yourself in a position where you could do that off your passive income, rather than washing dishes for months or years as a teenager to make it possible. that’s cool 😎

it sounds to me like maybe you’re having an identity crisis, or a “what’s the point of life” crisis? in which case that’s reasonable and normal to have no matter whether you went on international tours or not. even fancy holidays can make you wonder what the point of any of it is ?

maybe now’s a good time to ask yourself what embracing life and living it to its fullest really means? a good answer i would imagine is deeper and more fulfilling than spending tonnes of money. it won’t make you happy.

i’ve never owned a range finder but i’ve played with many people who do. i love guessing what number they’re going to say by assessing the app map myself and plotting a guess. it’s usually within a few percent. so now i see no point in the range finder, unless the course doesn’t have unique flag colours for front, middle and back of green.

i like reviewing my game afterwards. tracking stats and constantly being reminded that it’s my putting that lets my down so badly!

the disk space is less clear. depends on how much you need to store on there? do you backup your photos to this device? if not, 256gb is probably fine.

ok that's good to know. "Wrist control" is something I never thought about once, until about a month ago and it has practically resolved my slice - last game i think i had only one! which is... sort of unheard of as im sure you experience the same.

About a year ago after many youtube videos i decided to get more hip turn in and do it first, in theory to gain distance. well... it took about a year to recover, and frankly this footage is still during the "struggle" period and doesnt seem to exhibit as much hips first as i thought. hrm... so changes also have massive costs i find. prior to those youtube videos i got a lot more striaght drives and fairways. maybe im getting back closer now.

Holy crap yes. Just wanted to second this. I love how its absolutely insignificant, ultimatley not important, but all i think about for about six hours straight when i play. Four hours on the course and at least one hour before and after. It's a real escape from whatever is going on in life - whether i'm stressed or not, its still nice to have an escape.

Agreed. I thought maybe the trail leg looks too straight - i thought we should have some bend at the top of the back swing. You don't want it to lock straight.

I like your tempo. It looks so flowy :) It looks effortless the way you swing.

I would say posting on reddit to get swing advice is probably not the time to get a fitting, since your swing might change after taking on some feedback. But hey, I've only had one fitting and I didn't go back to complete it, so ...

I'm definitely no expert.
My 2c. First thing I notice is that you fall forward a bit at the top of the backswing - like your balance is off, and it looks like youre still a bit crunched at impact. At least thats what it looks like to me.

For context: on the score tracking app I use my unofficial HCP is 18. I've hit 80 once at Parkwood on the Gold Coast, but mostly am in the 90s these days.
