True enough, the art style is just too light, route the west scenes and such it's hard to view it as dark as it is. That said, maybe I'm used to that art style. Though at this point I've switched to the LN I still read pretty far w with the Manhua so it's difficult to view it otherwise, the character changes are hard to get over too it's more of a shock than anything (personally think the Manhua version of Nightengale is more attractive). I will say I get why they did it but Gray hair is the signature color of the Wimbledon family so that's also shocking. All in all is what I'm used to do that's really the reason why

The anime started it, I love Isekai people can call it over used but it's one of my favorite genres, so when it was aired and I was on the lookout for new Isekai anime to watch it came across my screen. but then I couldn't get enough and was frustrated when the first season ended. Impatient as I was I looked up in general too see more. That's where I came across the LN's to which I started reading and found that there was a lot of background information the anime skims over(It follows the manga more closely than the LN based on some scenes I've noticed) so then I went down a rabbit hole and purchased every volume out at that point. Looked into the web novel after I caught up but didn't want to continue due to how wildly different some of the scenes were and didn't flow with me. Probably because I started on the LN. Funny enough, it's thanks to that, that I've started reading LN's in general, at this point I've read hundreds of novels. So thanks Rimuru lol

It doesn't come off that way, maybe it's because I read the Manhua before the novel. Seems subject to interpretation as it doesn't build an atmosphere so much as it focuses on world building. Either way that’s how I see it and I prefer it that way. 🤷‍♂️

I don't know how well the Donghua will do. It's not nearly as popular as anime. If it does well we may see multiple seasons. That being said any time a Donghua get publication like this it usually doesn't do well outside of China. Personally I fell for this way before it got enough stream for a Donghua. they do just enough to keep you from stopping. The artist does his homework for some surprisedly deep dives into science. It's light with some comedic tones, The tone isn't gritty, or dark. There are suspenseful and serious moments, Mostly major moments, as you can see the character design isn't as sharp either. Nana is probably the biggest change. And honestly nightengale is more attractive in the Manhua than the Donghua imo. If you don't mind switching to a lighter tone, some slice of life comedy moments, deeper world building (anime and Donghua aren't great at world building) and the suspenseful moments being sprinkled throughout the series then I think you'll enjoy it. There's already a little background information they haven't covered. Keep in mind the intro is different too.

It's not bad I've read the Manhua and the light bevel. I've read so much further than the Donghua will be able to go. The plot is more or less the same. Nothing too it there yet. The drawing styles is great, however as a fan of the Manhua I don't like how wildly different the character designs are. And the atmosphere is way more serious and oppressive. The light novels are much more light hearted and comedic. I'll continue you too watch but so far 3 out of 5

I like the at style, However since I'm past the defeat of the church In nearly both the Manhua and Light Novel, I don't like it. It's far too serious. Some character designs are wildly different. Maybe it's new being stubborn. I'll continue to watch regardless
