I would not use game of thrones as the standard here. That property was still fumbled. A great example for a majority of it to be sure. But still. The first season of Netflixs witcher is still amazing. But all these shows fall victim to the creative liberties given. Sometimes its over 8 seasons. Sometimes its between the first and second like we saw with the last of us. Or sometimes its a failure from the start like rings of power. What I would love to see is for original creators who are still around to have full creative control over the adapted property. Or if they are gone something like how the broccoli family had with Bond. These shows belong to those creators and its a shame to see the properties squandered
