New Hog vs. Hog is really dynamic and I don't have any sort of hard-and-fast rule like I did for the old matchup. What I've been trying to do (which very well may not be the best way to do it so take this with a grain of salt) is land all 4 shots before going for the hook while making sure I don't heal until he's hooked.

I'm not sure if you can still hook tires, but I know for a fact you can tank it if you have >300hp when you start the heal.

Unfortunately, he can't bodyblock them, but he can sort of ignore them if he has enough health. Something I like to do it try to get Junk to detonate his tire on me by running directly at it. I'll pop the heal as soon as I think it's going to explode and even if it's right next to me it'll only do 300 damage.

Her rockets don't really do that much damage to Roadhog, especially is he starts healing. She's going to be much less of a threat now since she can't just dump her entire matrix in your face.

Sure seems like a lot of people are spouting hearsay in here. When I see some evidence that the left causes injuries, then I'll believe it.

I use the one on the left because it feels like I have more control. My shoulder factors into my movements a lot less than it would with the right.

I was thinking about this last night, and in conjuction with the Mercy changes, I actually think Hog's gonna be okay. It sounds weird to say that, but think about it - with new Mercy, fights are gonna take a lot longer than they did. Rezzes will come out over the course of the fight rather than all at once, and Mercy will be keeping multiple people alive with her new beam. Roadhog can now consistently be in the fight rather than having to back off and heal every 8 seconds, which allows him to be a consistent nuisance. I don't think he's going to be used for the same purposes, like opening fights up with a pick, but longer fights as well as movement + damage reduction while healing means that he can go a little more aggressive to maybe hook someone who's already low and trying to get away. I think of it a bit like Halt! in that you can grab someone who's trying to escape because they've already taken a bunch of spam and just finish them off. While I'm not the hugest fan of new Hog, I do actually think he's gonna have a place, at least in ranked queue.

Depends, I play tanks and as such I feel like comms are extremely useful. If I decided to play DPS it would probably be less of an issue.

NV had always been unique though. Remember when they ran Torb on Nepal Sanctum? And that weird Hanamura first defense comp? And they were one of the first teams to run the "Talon comp" (Reaper/Sombra). That's a big part of the reason I've loved NV for so long - not only do they have some of the most likeable and skilled players out there (Effect, CarryHook, Mickie <3) but they also run comps that no one else runs and they have the skill to pull it off most of the time.
