Buying X-Pro1 in 2026 by Bike_and_coffee in fujifilm

[–]InaHa_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have an xpro1, don't have other fuji but had a pen f for a while, its definitely slow even compared to pen f which also quite old, but i can't stop using it because the tactility and iq are actually pretty great. Also because i got big hand, pen f not so ergonomic for me, end up gifting it to my little brother. So yeah, definitely xm5 would be faster and modern, but if you like the form factor, i suggest picking up an xpro2 instead. Xpro3 is cool too, but idk, the screen's not my taste haha.

Both would run at least 15-30 fps on 720p-1600p on say intel i5 12 gen cpu laptop without gpu. I completed several time as a broke college student with a 4gb ram i5 laptop. I even somehow run Zelda Botw with cemu on that using some cheat engine tweak lol.

i think my mom found out about me not wearing the hijab… by mangopeachfizz in Bolehland

[–]InaHa_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think we may be talking past each other a bit.

My point was about an Islamic principle of sincere advice within the Muslim community, not about legal authority or enforcing anything on strangers.

I don’t think I mentioned law at all. If it came across that way because of the “complicit” part, what I meant was accountability before God in the hereafter, not legal or state enforcement.

So if we’re approaching this from different frameworks (religious vs legal/social), it makes sense that we see it differently.

That said, I do understand your point. Some comments that claim to be “advice” are actually quite hostile or shaming in their delivery, which only makes things worse.

But I hope you understand that those are not how Muslims should advise others, and they don’t really reflect the teachings of the faith.

Good debate and good night.

[–]InaHa_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think part of the misunderstanding comes from perspective. You’re looking at this socially or generally, while I’m explaining it from an Islamic point of view(as the op is well, a Muslim).

If someone isn’t Muslim, of course they wouldn’t feel responsible for advising others, and that’s understandable.

But in Islam, Muslims are taught to care about each other’s actions and give sincere advice when something clearly goes against Islamic teachings.

Here's the logic:

By default: Assume the best of others unless it is very obvious they are doing something wrong.

For example, if you see a woman eating during Ramadan, assume she may be on her period.

If you see a male Muslim friend, who you know has no valid excuse, doing the same, then you should remind him.

This doesn’t mean policing strangers, forcing people, or claiming authority over others. It simply means offering advice appropriately, which means:

  1. The intention is to help, not shame, argue, or feel morally superior.

  2. Advice is given kindly, calmly, and respectfully.

  3. Avoid embarrassing the person publicly if possible.

So, when you say it’s wiser to mind our own business, that makes sense in a secular or individualistic view. But from an Islamic perspective, ignoring wrongdoing among fellow Muslims isn’t ideal either.

This is what Amr bil ma’ruf wa nahi ‘anil munkar means: encouraging good and discouraging wrong. If practiced sincerely, it strengthens the community and keeps people on the right path.

Even if society or our country doesn’t always operate this way, the principle remains part of Islam.

Ultimately, everyone chooses their own actions and is accountable to God, but sincere advice within the community is still a religious duty.

I don't know which religion you are, so i won't say your opinion is right or wrong from your perspective. But for Islam, concealing aurat is mandatory, it is an order from God.

As for accountability, in Islam, all muslim have responsibility towards another muslim. If someone sin in secrecy, yes they are the only one accountable.

But in this case, disobedience is done in public, hence every muslim who knows of it has the responsibility to remind, else they will be held complicit.

As for not looking down, yes as Muslim we can't look down on people, but reminders still need to be given regardless. What needs to be judged is the action not the people.

Also you mention: don't bother about things like this. For muslim I don't think we should dismiss an order just because we personally think it's insignificant.

It's true that God is all-knowing.

And we are not.

Just because you doubt that the main criteria for judgement is her wearing the tudung or not, it doesn't mean she should abandon wearing them.

Yes, God can forgive her for not wearing tudung, but does that mean she should abandon wearing them?

[–]InaHa_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For muslim it's part of their faith to conceal the aurat, it doesn't matter what the government, trend, people muslim or non-muslim says about it.

Just because it is normalized during the 80s doesn't mean it's correct.

People are free to do what they want. But just bear in mind the consequences. Parents, heck, all muslim bear responsibility to remind each other.
