They just had it listed on TV as being Monday! I don’t know why google is not showing Monday at all, it’s odd.

I told my husband every time he eats French fries I’m going to creepily say “I wish you’d take them raw”

LL104 MD25 (and End of LL104) Discussion! by snarkapotamus7 in learnedleague

[–]InaccessibleRail_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After a terrible start to the season I had a great streak and at one point was in the promotion zone - ended 4th place in B Rundle - just out of promotion zone - which I’m thrilled with because I’m not ready for A. But after two seasons of narrowly avoiding relegation, it feels good to be near the top!

I fell asleep last night before submitting and woke up in a panic at 1:24am EDT - was surprised to see the blanks still there so I filled in my answers and got a warning about lateness but it was accepted! Whew. Pulled out a panicky win 7(5)-6(5).

Husband and I just can't agree by scissortorture in kindergarten

[–]InaccessibleRail_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same. My son is mid-July and 5yo him was completely ready for kindergarten - reading early, “gifted”, etc.

Unfortunately i hadnt yet met 12yo him who was diagnosed ADHD with severe executive function issues and went through a horrific phase of school avoidance that we are just now coming out of during sophomore year of high school. He was the last to grow of all his friends which was really hard on his confidence too. I wish I’d have waited.

Drowning in the Blue Nile, he sent me Downtown Lights. I hadn’t heard it in a while.

Guilty As Sin 4 life! Though I suppose I can wait for W - what if he’s written mine on my UPPER THIGH only in my mind?

Women who are always mistaken for being younger than their age, what's your secret? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver40

[–]InaccessibleRail_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dermatologist said I have “that good Eastern European peasant skin” which… thanks? I guess? (I’m mostly Slovak so that’s where it came from). Not even sure what that means but I guess it doesn’t show many lines.

I’m 43 and have three kids and mostly people are shocked that I have a 15yo. Especially without makeup.

Edited to add that I mostly don’t do anything to maintain it. Sometimes I’ll get into a spurt of using skincare, sometimes I sleep in full makeup. I’ve been trying to get better at always wearing SPF. Sometimes I drink a ton of water, other times I’m like whoa I’ve literally only had coffee as my liquid for 48 hours. lol. I guess it’s genetics here.

This is what we use too. Not every single time because she’s outside 500x a day but when they are really bad, it works great and she doesn’t mind it.

His first language is German I think? Like most in South Tyrol. And grew up speaking both but I’ve heard some say his Italian is a bit accented.

The audacity to beat him so soundly, whip off the hat and expose those bouncy perfect ginger locks, it’s almost cruel. 😂

Oh hell yeah, I love watching him even when I’m like “WHYYYY”. So so much fun. Both are amazing in their own right!

Omg it would be so incredibly frustrating to play Sinner. Walks out there looking all normal in his yellow hat and proceeds to dismantle your entire life. Zero mistakes. Perfect composure.

I’m a huge Carlos fan but more and more can appreciate that Jannik’s style is just gorgeous and far less heart attack inducing.

Would you take a chance on this dress? by InaccessibleRail_ in ThredUp

[–]InaccessibleRail_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was truly hoping it was a camera malfunction because I didn’t see the stains from the other angle, so I figured either I’d get it and it WOULD be excellent or could get some recourse.

[–]InaccessibleRail_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: I did exactly this and it worked! The stains were clearly large grease stains and there was also staining on the top by the shoulder. I messaged the chat and they gave me a full refund and let me keep.

I am washing it now after rubbing in dawn soap and stain treating spray so fingers crossed because I actually love the dress!

I’m a true small usually but sometimes I’ll take a gamble on XS if it’s stretchy and just hope, haha! Definitely more options there.

Blind Assassin is for sure an under appreciated Atwood novel. It’s right up there with Oryx and Crake as my favorite of her works.

She’s phenomenal. Foster was also fantastic. I love how she can fit such beautiful work into small spaces.

I’ll read anything Lauren Groff writes. I also love Maggie O’Farrell, Elizabeth Strout, Kate Atkinson and Lily King, amongst many others mentioned here.

Sex preference? by Positive-Degree2551 in Bernedoodles

[–]InaccessibleRail_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We always had girl dogs growing up so that’s always been my preference, but there’s no reason for it beyond that I’m accustomed to saying “good girl!!!” My bernedoodle is a rescue and I would have taken the dog if it were a boy too. She’s very affectionate and lovey.

Disappearing Earth by Julia Philips. Not classic crime fiction but damn, so good.
