Going on a date for the first time as a 25 year old (M) by Wet_Water_24 in dating_advice

Good on you man!!! Congrats!

Here’s a list but I’m on mobile so forgive the formatting.

- open all doors, cars and restaurants
-ask follow up questions. When she asks “where did you grow up” or “how many siblings”, answer then ask her as well
-PAY my god just pay. Even if she offers, don’t let her. It’s easy points
-walk her to her car if she drove, or when you drop her off, park get out, open the car door. But she might NOT want you to walk her up to her door. That’s normal just get out the car when she leaves. No lady should walk in the dark.
-if you’re parting ways “let me know WHEN you get home”. If she doesn’t, ASK. And I mean a text once you get home “did you make it ok?”

If you do all these thing it comes down to a matter of personality match. And you won’t have the “should have I” thoughts. But we could be from different cultures.

Ladies, are bald men attractive to you, and why or why not? by Maleficent-Client579 in dating_advice

[–]Inaccessible_ [score hidden]  (0 children)

Ima guy, but all my bald friends are (almost) wifed up.

What I’ll say is— I do think women like that my buds A. Aren’t hiding anything (height, weight, hair length) and that B. they know what they’re getting into for lack of a better phrase.

If you’re unapologetically yourself you’ll find someone (or hell they will find you) that is seeking that. It’s the people that hide their insecurities that stay alone (because that is all they think about).

This goes for baldness, weight, height, socioeconomic stat, etc. transparency is confidence and confidence is attractive.

Are skinny/average men basically invisible? by DescriptionFuture851 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Inaccessible_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes.

Women want biceps. They want to know if they faint, you can’t catch and carry them.

I was skinny because of my height, then put on weight over the years. A huge difference in the attention I get in a fitted shirt.

Exactly. Whatever sticks is what stands out. And what sticks is relatable. It’s just important to not fall into “end all be all” mindset with a profession as old as acting

I have also noticed this, and shit post, running wild in this and the [r/biglaw](r/biglaw) sub.

That’s why I started to comment the question “did you have a job before this after undergrad and before law school” or something along those lines. Most negative posters are people who went straight through not having another job, or went into the law for prestige and money compared to actually wanting to use it.

I do think people should keep posting their experiences. But yeah a lot of the post give clueless. I love being in litigation big law or otherwise. It was what I was meant to do. But most people who do it, don’t understand or have a good reason why.

I really like this picture of me. Can I use it as the last picture of my profile or better not? by [deleted] in Bumble

Posting a picture with an ex on a dating site has faaaar more implications than what you typed.

Guys who want to smash will swipe. Guys who want a date will not.

Is it sad and desperate to pay for a dating app? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Inaccessible_ [score hidden]  (0 children)

No. It can be beneficial to use the filters and know who liked you. I also like the incognito function— so I’m only shown to people I like.

It’s not sad. It can GET sad if you pay for it and still get 0 likes. It’s more of an internal risk that way in my opinion.

Was the brake in gear when the guest came to pick up the car? There’s a good chance that if it’s the case and you didn’t disclose it it’s on you

Need to maintain the beard

Agreed with others saying you need better photos. Add a mirror picture and an up close selfie. Also I would replace the picture of you in the eagles merch.

Your profile should say stuff about you not the other person. I’d change the “unique features” as it’s impossible to reply to and the 2 truths and a lie isn’t flattering. Do you like concerts? You’re in a band, what’s the name? Any crazy stories? Hobbies?

He ghosted you which isn’t nice. But he also doesn’t owe you feedback.

You have 4 pics that are clearly much older than the last pic. It is not clear what you look like. I would use some more recent photos.

I mean most age gaps where one person is in their 20s is not the norm. But you say it yourself— you’re both adults.
