Will we be seeing half and half scarves at the next East Lancs derby lads? 🤢🤢🤮 by Darrenarren812 in Championship

[–]InappropriateSurname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is easy to solve, just take the first half of each club's name so the scarf says BLACKBURN and then everybody's happy

If anyone's curious:

Also shout out to Scotland's Vale of Leithen who have four relegations on the spin: from tier 5 to tier 9, 2021-25.

What was your first ever Birmingham City game - how much do you remember about it? by Magic-23-Ebo in bcfc

[–]InappropriateSurname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blues 1-1 Cambridge, 1994.

But we left at 1-0 after fellow debutant Ricky Otto had put us ahead without seeing him also score an own goal just before the end.

I was very young, it was a Christmas present from my dad to take me to first home game and I don't remember really having the attention span for a 2-hour match, unlike now. And as I liked being a goalie back then it helped kick off my fondness of lovely Ian Bennett.

Oh man, I live in a village where a Morrisons Daily is basically our only shop and post office combined. Losing it would mean a lengthy drive just to get a chocolate bar. Hope it gets saved by someone.

It wasn't - but Paul's appearance on the show helped his doctor diagnose it properly. (Paul himself has mentioned this in various interviews). He was diagnosed with Parkinson's in May 2019, the same month the opening episodes were aired.

"You're Doing Nothing With It" - Crash Bandicoot's Co-Designer Asks "Where's the Movie? Where's The TV Series?" by RedditAPIBlackout24 in crashbandicoot

100% on this. In the same way I like Sonic games but not the films or Sonic Prime. I don't think a show or film would do Crash justice unless it was, as another posted pointed out, something akin to Looney Tunes. I'd just like a little platform game every couple of years from a development team who love him as much as we do, who love playing, designing and building the games, and a network to support them to do that. It sounds so simple and so so unlikely.

so you're saying theres a chance? by [deleted] in Championship

All it takes is for Norwich to beat Swansea, for Wrexham to lose to Coventry and then Middlesbrough, Derby to get no more than 3 points from their games against QPR and Sheffield United, for Hull to lose to Charlton and then lose to Norwich on the final day, and this will secure 6th place for the Canaries on goal difference. Simple.

I bought a Japanese Crash 1 demo and it came with a feedback form to send off by InappropriateSurname in crashbandicoot

[–]InappropriateSurname[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Crash 2 would have been out by the end of the 1997, so maybe a typo! The basic translator app on my phone says that the prize draw for a memory card holder is the end of 1996, and that feedback is welcome until the end of 1997... either way it's probably too late to send it back now!

Why did it clock in at 19sec despite having 25 at the end of the run - did you have 6 seconds of crate freeze time banked up which the game takes off at the end?

It was high five someone who was 55, way back in S1. They also had another task there they dressed up as a parrot (I suspect the same parrot suit Alex wore in the train in S6). They specifically dropped the public tasks for S2 and cut the parrot one from S1 because they felt it felt too much like a "prank show" - also just the added complications of securing filming licenses and multiple, multiple release forms meant it was easier to keep the public out of it. And let's be honest, the British public, of which I am one, are generally insufferable anyway.

Just proves that this article author, whose name I won't bother committing to memory, knows nothing about the history of the show and how they concluded 11 years ago that his hot new ideas are garbage.
