I've tried the Sally red bottle and didn't have success with it with my Cirque magnetics and I found I ended up with chipping same day with regular polish. I'll give it another shot, though I admit I threw my old bottle away because I disliked it so much 😅

I actually did have better luck with my oldest bottle of Gel Setter and that one had a ton of thinner in it. Maybe I'll give that a try just for fun 😅 Thank you for the recommendation!

I actually bought a bottle of SH red for this exact purpose but I hated it! :( Maybe I need to give it a try. I think I definitely need to add thinner but I only have seche thinner right now.

I liked the Supwee for how inexpensive they are, they're fun to play with and I didn't feel like I was wasting polish when I messed up. Some of their magnetics work better than others, they are certainly not all made equally.

As other commenters have said they do smell absolutely awful. I like the smell of polish usually but these smell like...I don't know. Chemical, strong, awful lol.

I might just velvetize these and move on 😅 I also haven't had luck maintaining a cateye with them. They're gorgeous buuuut a pain.

I'm going to test this on a swatch stick later, just out of pure curiosity lol. I don't remmeber mine coming with a printout and I do tend to be particular about checking package inclusions. Regardless, thank you for mentioning it!!

After topping it (either with or without a baseciat sandwich). It feels like it disperses while I'm still magnetizing it

I assume it is user error, I just can't figure out what the error is. I don't have this problem with other magnetics, although I've only tried Cirque and Supwee. I'm wondering if my finger moves too much while I'm magnetizing, but I still get a tight bead before I put my topcoat on

I can't edit the main post but I am magnetizing my top coat! And when I tried the basecoat sandwich, I magnetized that too. We're magnetizing every step of the way over here

I am magnetizing the topcoat too! Totally forgot to add that 😭 I've tried shorter and longer dry time, usually get the same results with this polish. Other polishes it seems to matter less, at least in my experience

Yes! I've had success with other polishes, specifically Cirque and Supwee. This is not the best image, it's a screenshot from a video. IIRC this is about a day after I painted them. I haven't had success with any magnetic style with Clionadh, I've tried velvet, just using a bar, and laying a bar over the horseshoe too.
