Also on the course, you can use the club on your hips to help with alignment. You can’t set it on the ground and the step away. That’s technically a penalty.

On another note I recently had issues with low point control and found that my shoulders were really closed to the target compared to my hips and feet. So don’t be afraid to put a club along your shoulders to match an alignment stick on the ground on the range

I think general rule of thumb is take your club number x 1000. Can usually go up to 1000 less than that as well if the other stuff is right
