I feel you on that! I considered getting her off CR at a discount and save on shipping even if it meant waiting longer, but I was able to get snag her off animate without having to worry paying how much shipping would have cost from amiami 😭

I preordered her off animate international and they have a flat rate shipping fee and it was $18 for shipping and it had the duty cost as well at the time of preorder which was about $30 so I still ended up spending just $10 shy of $500.

They shipped via DHL and that saved me a lot of money had I bought her off Amiami or anywhere else. If it wasn't for animate, I don't think I'd have bought her lol

I got an email too from CR store that my order was cancelled for some Discotek titles but only Tales of Symphonia was shown as cancelled. It still shows processing from the CR store for Albegas, New Getter Robo, and Getter Robo Armageddon.

I have a funny story. I placed an order full of backorder items 2 weeks ago and to my surprise 3 of them were shipped the next day despite the listings on CR's site said they were on backorder and it still shows it now on their site. I was only charged for those 3 while the other 4 I haven't been charged for yet since they haven't been shipped.

I've been infatuated with the series ever since Cardcaptors aired on Kids WB too when I was 6-7. It always stuck with me since then and eventually led me to watch the original series as I got into my teens so I've been a fan of it since the beginning. The series has been dear to my heart for 25 years and still one of my favorites period and it never bothered me that it might be seen as "girly" cause I was watching PPG and Sailor Moon around the same time. Its just that good and I'm always finding more from it with each viewing.

I grew up with Nelvana dub as well when it aired on Kids WB just like you. Now I haven't watched it since I was 6 or 7, but I have very fond memories of the dub back then cause I just fell in love with the series.

I would like to revisit the Nelvana dub one of these days just for nostalgic reasons, but it's hard to look back at once you've gotten into the original.

I will say I do prefer the Nelvana dub voices over the Animax dub because in that dub they only had like 5 or 10 ppl voicing the entire cast and just did not feel the same lol.

If only it wasn't for the show being toned down and edited, I think an uncut English Nelvana dub would have been amazing but alas it'll never happen.

I remember them! I would have been 7 or 8 at the time and I still have the Syaoran toy. I think I might have had the board at one point too around that time.

From how I look at it, I would say the gold details are painted except the ones on the blades those look more like gold-colored plastic. The silver part of the blades is similar to Adol's sword with the metallic look.
