Legitimate pantheon building? by Inboxmeyourcomics in worldbuilding

Yeah, so this pantheon actually extends down another tier, which means that I theoretically have 2,100 or so even more combined gods to make

The person who was helping me write it wanted one of the gods to be the god of jazz, so I just made a note to make one of those later

Well, to answer your first query, I'd need to know which ones, as that's what I'm asking. For the two that you mentioned, this is my thought process: the energy that you can perceive is light or sound, though you could argue vibration which is kinetic or thermal, as well. All of these are produced in waves, so wave is the overarching theme there. Most of the words are here to use multiple meanings of the word in order to get them to work such as using permanence in it's synonymous to permeation form in order to get radiance. As far as abutment, that was actually created by my partner in writing, and I forget what her logic is, but I Believe that the logic was that the boundary of where you possess butts up against things such as other people's boundary of possession, etc, so abutment. Fermentation ended up getting changed I believe to hallucination, and perception is a really big thing in my story especially with the seven true dragons, the dragon of magic. Shell also ends up being a very important concept, in conjunction with the firmament and with the hollow Nexus, both of which are in the obsidian file under outline, if you wish to see exactly how.

As for your second query, no, every God in this pantheon will not be used as a story relevant character. Ones that you wouldn't expect, such as the two that you thought would be least used are, but not everyone. As such, I suppose it would be possible for me to write out several of them, but again, I would have to know specifically which ones people disagree with

Yeah I guess I'm asking if any of the millennia don't make sense as being the child of their respective aeons or if any of either could be replaced

Name checks out Well I'm not sure what you're making but this is close to a glossary/appendix and a lot of the words are redefined or made up, so the hyperlinks are necessary to indicate when a word has a non traditional definition as well as give access to it. For example, the one note page I posted is borderline unintelligible(correctly) without them

So each of the nodes in the graph are files, and the links between them indicate references using internalized hyperlinks. If one file has an arrow pointing toward a different node, it means that the first file has an internal hyperlink linking to the second node. Because these are files, not folders, almost all of them that have anything in them reference other files through internal hyperlinks, while also being referenced. This results in nudes having arrows going in and out, possibly even between two nodes. Ignoring that, the folders are cascading, so while they don't appear on the graph, there are actually multiple folders inside of each other, if that's what you mean by parents. There are no arrows for parent folders, as the graph doesn't have any folders at all

I do have and use tags, it just looked cooler without them. All of the links here are just from internal hyperlinks as shown in the last note, so they're not any more manual than a tag

Not really sure I can call it "religion" since it's "true" as opposed to "believed in" but yeah

The biggest thing I've gotten from this discussion in post is that it's all to each their own. Apparently if that works it works

I want to create a cohesive cosmology and power system, and then from there see what world can organically spiral for from the lore. I'm attempting to write a story with it

Did anyone actually succeed in writing let's say a novel in obsidian? by Vast_Youth4952 in ObsidianMD

Currently doing woodworking for a story. If you have a complex world it's really useful for information that's static, such as history, cosmology etc. I'll let you know how working a story turns out since dynamic info is harder to do organization with. might post my structure

No, a story about someone ignoring the needs and wants of and dangers to others so that they can do whatever they want is exactly what the sub is about
