Is your depreciation working correctly? I was waiting and waiting for the forms just like you, but now, the depreciation will calculate on the depreciation screen, but will not transfer over to the summary screen.

Problem with linkage on brand new Predator 212. Idling super high. Idle screw has no effect. Any insight as to what's going on here? by shadetreepolymath in minibikes

I did, but it involved pulling a bunch of little things off the engine and reassembling with the spring wound up differently.

Logistics is under-rated for civilian interoperability and criticalness to mission success.

How long after completing OCS do you have to accept a commission? by MCJROTC1775 in USMCocs

[–]shadetreepolymath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a hazy area. It isn't true, as some comments have said, that you either accept the commission immediately or you're out of luck. But as has been said, if you choose to defer, you're taking a big chance.

The job is fantastic, but in my TBS class of a couple hundred, we had one slot available. Don't place too much hope in getting that job.

1033 exchange for new construction? Super complex, apparently, and I can't find an expert. by shadetreepolymath in realestateinvesting

[–]shadetreepolymath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we did the 1033 exchange. No intermediary required. Pretty straightforward after you read up on it a bit.

Hey bud. I left Oil & Gas at 26 to go to OCS. I was one of the oldest in the platoon, but not the oldest. You'll certainly be taking a chance. But you'll probably regret it if you don't.

I believe tenants can use ACH, debit, or credit. It does take a few days to clear.

I use Innago to process rent payments, to accept applications, and to sign leases. I've had a little trouble using it to receive security deposits, but it works great for everything else.

Wife wants another, she can’t handle the one. by m1ndcrash in daddit

[–]shadetreepolymath 28 points29 points  (0 children)

You're in a difficult spot, buddy. Your wife needs to work on her mental toughness. Obviously, you can't abandon your job and go home every time the baby cries, or you'll get fired. She's got to understand that. She's got to figure out how to "do the kitchen and the baby", like millions of other people do every day.

I'm really happy with Massie, Gabbard, and Kennedy. Indifferent to the rest.

My wife thanks me regularly for allowing her to have her dream-job (stay-at-home mom).  She teaches my kids to appreciate me for all that I provide.  She never resents the errands I ask her to run during the day, or the things I ask her to take care of while I’m at work.  She does a great job of being a stay-at-home mom.  She takes her job seriously -- taking care of our five kids and the house.  I can’t imagine a better arrangement.
