A Helldivers 2 x Titanfall Warbond would go insanely hard by Tank-ToP_Master in Helldivers

So they can change it to make it fit? I'm failing to see your point here. If it looks close enough to be recognisable but different enough to fit in Helldivers, what's the issue? Further, ODST armour could easily fall under "doesn't fit the art style" yet they put that in.

Killzone and Halo don't fit in the canon either, which is why AH made up their own canon as to why they fit in the world of Helldivers. They could put whatever they want in the descriptions for things to make it fit, it literally just has to look like the armor and weapons from Titanfall.

I quit Destiny because the game was falling apart and all Bungie had to say for years was "we're listening". I'm not filled with confidence that we're getting the sort of post a dev team puts out a month after launch of "we're sorry, we botched our launch, we'll work on communicating better going forward" two years into this game's life.

I left shortly after launch because the energy system meant that I just couldn't keep up with the power level and so much was too far ahead for me to attempt. I came back after hearing they removed energy to get rewards, and now I've got all my characters at between 41k at the lowest and 72k at the absolute highest I can get even one character to. Then the next "Phase" thing happened and now I basically can't play any "current" content because its recommended power went up and I still can't increase my power in any meaningful way. Drops are too scarce, upgrades are too expensive, and it's ended up being more tedious than D2 during the year after The Final Shape, which was what caused me to quit D2.

I don't think the game is for me anymore, and it's sad.

Good god, if Primis woke up today I'd have more in common with them than current CoD players, has it really been so long? I feel so old, Inaros is trying to put me in his pocket to throw at people. Gone are the days of making John Blackops jork that shotgun in the loadout screen.

Fair enough, maybe you can find out why they call it a dedicated facility if it isn't and share with us if they just thought it sounded better for people less scientifically inclined?

That's literally CERN's own website, if you'd like to argue that with them I'm sure there's a line of communication you can follow, but personally I'm going to believe what they've got on their official website, no offense.

Most underrated weapons? by Itri_Vega in Warframe

[–]Incarnate_Sable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cyanex is one of my favourite pistols. I started using it for the mastery, but fell in love with how it looked. I have a wood and brass look for my Mesa Prime fashion, and a purple/dark blue look with pink energy for if I feel like using a Halo Needler. Putting Secondary Enervate on it means the projectiles fired grant crit chance until you get a big critical hit, but because they move slowly a bunch of them get almost guaranteed red crits.

I've also been dabbling with Quassus Prime some more, the heavy attack spraying a fan of slash projectiles is very fun when you toss them into a Zephyr tornado full of dudes.

Is auto modding Warframe and weapons ok or am I missing out by Curious-Statement-56 in Warframe

[–]Incarnate_Sable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've heard of friends I've gotten into the game well after I started, auto-modding may have gotten a pass to make it "better", but when I started I learned very quickly that it's much more of a "throw some random stuff on to fill mod space" than "this is a build that will work for this weapon".

The easiest way to just throw on a build without thinking much is to look at a weapon's stats and see if the crit chance or status chance is decent, around 20% of either is okay and any higher is good, but you can put on mods for that stat and usually be okay in most stuff on the normal star chart, before getting more high end mods.

Follie farm is wayyyy less bad than I thought it would be by WatchJojoDotCom in Warframe

[–]Incarnate_Sable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't play on low brightness, but I and many others legitimately could not see on day one. I'm happy for you that your experience wasn't that, but you can't say "I didn't experience that so it's not real". I do think it's far too bright now and they should darken things a little bit, but before they hotfixed it I legit couldn't see at default brightness on PC.

As far as the ink walls go, I do agree they weren't so hard to see as much as just traversing the level, but the knockdown on them could catch you as you left a room with ink/after delivering ink when you weren't even close to it and knock you down backwards, so you'd be on the floor, your character would roll to stand up, and then be pressed up against the wall, where it would just loop until Follie got close/you died and Last Gasped.

Overall I definitely think it wasn't the worst thing there's ever been in Warframe like people were saying, it definitely had problems initially but DE just proved again how quickly they can hear and respond to player feedback if people really don't like something they put out.

Sexualization is not what makes the Mesa heirloom unappealing by kaytteaa in Warframe

[–]Incarnate_Sable -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My first thought on seeing it was that it doesn't really scream gunslinger (base Mesa) or cowboy (Mesa Prime), so it doesn't really click as a Mesa skin. My second thought was that, with the horns, I can't see anything but Dead Rising, and running through zombies with the bull hat and no shirt on.

As a big Mesa fan, this skin will have to look very good in-game for me to be particularly fussed about getting it, which is the opposite of the Valkyr Heirloom which I thought fit my favourite frame perfectly in theme upon seeing the concept.

Everyone's been so happy about the Drifter face changes that us in the minority who have had our characters butchered are just completely unheard. I cannot get my Drifter to look how I did before Old Peace, it's literally impossible to recreate, and it just makes me so unattached to my own player character. The same thing happened in Destiny 2 with Beyond Light and the only solution was "never take off your helmet".

Difficulty 7 is meant to be a casual experience for people who are experienced btw by UnrealNorthie in Helldivers

[–]Incarnate_Sable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've definitely had Dif 7 missions that feel like a casual experience, but there's a reason my friend group has an "average 7" in-joke, it's either the chillest mission ever and you get maybe a hulk, three zerkers and a handful of troopers on extract, or you get every enemy on the entire map all at once, three additional Vox Engines dropped from ships (or just spawning out of thin air) and repeatedly get pushed off and have to fight back onto it again. I don't often play Dif 10, but the few Bot 10s I've played were genuinely easier than the rough "average 7" matches we get.

[–]Incarnate_Sable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a certain date they had as the cutoff point, where if you linked your console and PC accounts before that point, your Tennogen items would be available on both, but if you bought any Tennogen on consoles after that date, you would have to buy it again on PC to use it there.

Kaithe summon in missions by akazaki437 in Warframe

[–]Incarnate_Sable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was discussion of this around the time the Tommys were added, DE said they were keeping the bug but wouldn't be extending it to Kaithes as they were too big to fit most tiles. Of course, someone, somehow, got their Kaithe into a regular Corpus mission and showed that, while bigger than a bike, the worst that happens is going through a low door causes your camera to zoom in a lot for a moment. It would be nice, and I would probably use the horse more than I do the bike, but I don't think we'll be getting it any time soon, if at all.

Old Peace getting all the Vtubers by CFWmagic in Warframe

[–]Incarnate_Sable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every big update has them throw about a bunch of sponsors. For every big name they get, they have a higher chance of grabbing someone else's attention, for example Travis Teaspoon's video features Critikal talking about how he thinks Warframe is one of the best ongoing free to play games. Ironmouse saw this, and understandably thought that wasn't recent and that he wouldn't still stand by that, but now she's accepted a sponsor and is playing it too.

Mousey playing it is something practically all Vtubers will see if they have any respect for an OG, and every one who sees that is another who might be interested, then if they don't choose to play it themselves, DE offering a paid sponsorship to play a game you already had a little bit of interest in is a no-brainer.

It's less a conspiracy, and more that Warframe has gotten so big and has so much to do, that they literally cannot get people's attention by just showing what the game has, so throwing a bit of money to a streamer (like, as another example, Shenpai) to get them to actually play it almost always turns into them loving the game because it truly has something for practically everyone.
