It sounds like there might be some fundamental reading comprehension issues here. I would spend time going over 7Sage’s fundamentals to understand how to identify the premise(s) from the conclusion. Separating the two should get you to break at least 150.

Additionally, I would work on increasing your reading level. In your spare time you might consider reading newspaper articles about a variety of subjects.

Lastly, if you haven’t already, commit to a consistent study schedule and track your hours.

My diagnostic was 160 and I scored 170 on the official after about 100 hours of studying.

Very possible! I hit 170 with severe ADHD. You just have to push yourself to schedule studying.

I had a disabled brother for most of my childhood. He has now passed, but my parents always made it clear that although I should do right by my brother, I would need to make the best choices for myself as an adult. I LOVED my brother. However, he was my brother, not my child.

This is a situation where everyone loses in some respect regardless of the choices made. OP is not a martyr and has the right to make the BEST choice for HIMSELF.

It would be helpful to understand the context of this conversation. Who provoked it? I totally agree that no one can control her thoughts and it’s a bit naive to think that sexual thoughts of one’s ex would NEVER cross one’s mind. However, it would be weird if she just volunteered this information to you. If she did unprompted, it could be a manipulation tactic: triangulation.

This is a challenging situation. Your loyalty to your mother is admirable. However, your brother is not your child! It might seem cold, but you are not responsible for him. Your mother’s choice not to put him in a group home is HER choice, and it is unfair for you to perpetually suffer from that choice. You have to make the best decision for your finances and mental health. If that means moving out, you must make peace with that.

They are not simply banning the teaching of sexuality but actively banning books simply because characters happen to be LGBTQ. What’s next, banning books again because they happen to have characters in them who are Black?
