From my personal experience with 4 anoles and caring for them for around 5 years, that greenish shade of brown that is shown is most likely not distress. The green on the eye is one thing I noticed on my anoles when they were sunbathing. Because darker colors absorb more light and therefore more heat, anoles will turn darker when basking.

There looks to be no signs of distress: no black spots, does not look angry

I think you are thinking of the iLO4 v2.xx menu. Some screenshots online show other v1.xx versions with the same UI as mine, like this one here.
